Veronique
Some interesting stories about the Cannes Festival, famous directors and actors. I don't think the parts about his life (an upper class Jew during WWII) added much to the book. I was really hoping for more stories about the Festival, the actors and directors and maybe less about the politics (although that last part is interesting after a while I became tired of it, I'll admit, I also became quite disgusted.)

The amount of money spent on the Festival and to please it's guests is quite disturbing
