A thoughtful and intriguing one naturally.
It's somewhat quaint but still works very well. The story is underdeveloped but its brevity easily makes up for that.
The main problem in my view is that some of the characters are little more than caricatures.

Van Vogt worked with one of the ideas behind this story in the funny Process. Vaster is of course much deeper.

A short story that explores the extreme Other through an autistic character, Osden, who has been "cured" but now is fully aware of all the emotions coming from those around him AND a eerie all plant planet which seem to be sensient.
