Cody is a cop with a mission. He's the point of contact for another cop, one working deep undercover in an organized crime group. Thing is, Pete is not at all what he expects in a partner. Pete's a little reckless, a lot hot, and probably not as careful as he ought to be when it comes to rendezvous with his contact. Pete thinks Cody is pretty darned hot. Cody's a little re...more

I took this off my "mission-aborted" shelf and completed it.

I wanted to give this 2 stars ("it was okay") but honesty won and I have to give it a one-star "didn't like it". I'd like to say that it isn't badly written or contains anything I consider objectionable - I just found there was too much sex and hardly any plot despite the synopsis. I had bought this based on the synopsis, thinking it was a romantic/erotic suspense but it turned out to be just a short piece of erotica. Even the HEA didn'...more
PWP, but the sex was typical Owen hot just not much else there.

Cody is sitting in a bar, nursing a weak drink, waiting to be “picked up” by a man named Pete. Both men are cops working vice, and their current case involves both drugs and prostitution. Pete is working undercover to infiltrate a large prostitution ring, a perfect fit as a “pretty guy who could pull off looking like he sold his ass, but was still bright enough to be trusted.” But the boys in the ring don’t seem to trust Pete, so Cody is ready to “put his john training into action” to help prove...more

Mostly angst...great short story x Just re-read this and enjoyed it more the second time round...Love Cody and Pete used to reading books with a lot of sex from Sean Michael and this one had two hot cops to go with the hot sex x

Short and hot in the best of ways (and the nastiest. Muahaha) the pace absolutely perfect, managing to give the two heroes time and opportunity to fall in love even as short as their story is. That Chris Owen is a bloody genius!

Light reading. Cops, smut and a big, slobery dog. The undercover work is more of a hint of background than a secondary plot line. At 96 pages a good way to spend an hour or so.
Loved this book. I loved the characters. They were both so distinct in who theywere even down to their speech patterns. Couldn't be better.
This one didn't have enough story to keep me enthused. I'm a Chris Owen fan but this one just didn't do it for me.
It was not that bad but it's fictional story and they put sexy scene to the stories to make it thrilled.
Wish it were longer but perfect to fill a slow afternoon.
I could read more about these guys.
One sexy, fast paced read. Never wanted it to end. Needed more.
Extremely boring book and sex.

I live and write in eastern Canada, where the winds blow cool and calm on the good days, wicked and fast on the bad. There's rain and sun, and in the winter there's snow... a lot of snow. A nice fire to keep warm, a nice pen with good flow, and a decent notebook are all that I really require. Which is not to say that the MacBook Air isn't the best thing eve.. I went to a bunch of schools, learned...more
