Good thing I didn't judge a book by its cover bc, honestly, it's too homey-innocent-boring for my taste. Boy was I wrong.
I loved this book bc it's so rich in characterization, emotional-deep-compelling plot, very nice pace that will have you wanting to know what will happen next. You'll love Luz to pieces, such daunting responsibility and sacrifice that will have you in awe AND tears. The side stories and characters were just as intersting, entertaining and emotional.

I read this book twice and enjoyed it a lot. Wish the author had writen several books as I enjoy her books a lot.

After years in academia, teaching and directing clinical chemistry laboratories, I took a turn down another road and began writing fiction. My first novel, Dreams for Stones was published by Samhain on Christmas Day 2007. The sequel, Persistence of Dreams followed in 2009.
