Reunion is a free ebook from Heaton in the Vampires Realm series. I was curious enough to download it and am glad that I did! The short story follow the vampire Mari, a Law Keeper, as she investiges an attempted murder at the mansion of her family whom she hasn't seen in fifty years. Mari uses her new position as a shield to guard her from the pain of her separation from her ex, the Russian-accented, violet-eyed vampire Jascha. In a little over 100 pages, Heaton told a wonderful tale of vampire...more

I really enjoy Felicity Heaton's Vampires Realm series. The characters tend to be the type that you can get into their heads and feel what they're feeling. The vampire bloodlines are interesting and different enough that you don't feel like you're retreading old ground with every book. The bad guys tend to be bad. And that's exactly what I'm looking for.

Here we have a two strong warriors who have been torn apart by some stupid mistakes and a lack of communication. Or maybe it's a lack of wanting...more

I have only read the first book in this series but was pleasantly surprised by it.Prophecy is a vampire with a mysterious past(even she has no idea of her true origins)after sneaking out of her home she comes into contact with Valentine a vampire assassin who must go against his family and clan and protect Prophecy against insurmountable odds.

118 = short story? I'm not sure so I didn't put it in that category. I think this is the first time I've read this author. Lots of angst in the beginning. Marise is called back to her vampire bloodline home to help them when their guards and leader are attacked and some are killed. She finds out one the guards attacked and barely alive is Jascha. Now this I don't understand, he's not hated and he's the leader of the guards but they don't clean his wounds, no one stays with him, even the girl tha...more

This was a free ebook from Felicity E. Heaton and I am glad to find another great author to read. Probably due to be it being offered free this book is a bit short. Even short there's a great story and likable characters. I found her world of vampires intriguing and I will definitely be looking into reading the rest of her series Vampires Realm. I enjoyed the main characters and their struggle. If you are a fan of paranormal romance stories you should for sure give Felicity E. Heaton a try. She...more

Reunion:
Heaton is one of my must read authors. I really enjoy her work, and I love this series, Vampires Realm, of books. However, this was not my favorite. It's worth the read, it just wouldn't be my first pick. I would still recommend the book though to anyone looking for a good vamp read that doesn't follow the same tired theme of the majority of vampire books these days.
Marise is a vampire, a Law Keeper for her bloodline, the Venia bloodline. She also hasn't been home in 50 years due to her...more

This is a free e-Book which can be found on Felicity's website: http://www.felicityheaton.co.uk/. And it is great!!

Marise is a Law Keeper for the Venia Bloodline and when her ex-lover, Jascha, is brutally injured she is summoned back home to investigate. And she once again finds herself caught up in his web as old feelings and desires resurface. I have to say, I wasn't that fussed in Marise. She's independent, strong and determined, but there is something about her that I didn't like - just can'...more

I really loved this book. It was actually a sweet but action-packed story of how two Vampire lovers were separated. Marise is a Law Keeper, a strong character and I love tough on the outside, soft and warm on the inside women like her. Jascha was as I love also the heroic character made of nails but melts in the hands of his lover Marise. I don't read a book just for the name on the cover, I read it for the synopsis. I really thought that this book lived up to my high standards for Paranormal Ro...more

This was a free book from iBooks and is part of a series. For me, it was pretty much a harlequin romance with vampires... A big long, way too descriptive sex scene surrounded on each side with 100 pages of so so writing and very little plot. I was surprised with the lack of swearing in the book... I don't know why. Maybe because the sex scene was so explicit. I was not impressed.

A pretty good plot about a vampire law keeper. I liked the characters as well, but I feel like there could have been a lot more to this book. Seems like a lot of shorts are being put out in hopes to hook people for the series. I understand them wanting to sell books, but I'd rather be sold on the initial book than a short that leaves me unsatisfied. JMHO.

The Law Keeper and the Royal guard...this was so heart tugging and sweet. And I loved that the woman was the Lead/Hero/Strong one in this story must read the rest of this series. It is so addictive...romance, action and a great story with sex to boot. Who could ask for more, lol!

It was good, it is a short story. I liked the characters. Slightly shocked by the love scene(maybe a few to many YA books for me) but it seemed oddly out of place. Overall I liked it and I would read the other books in the series.

This installment of Vampire Realms, Marise the Venice Law Keeper is called to her bloodline to investigate the assassin attempt on Timure’s life. Can she set aside her feelings for her past lover and complete the mission without putting herself and others in danger? This story is very focused on the love between Marise and Jascha and helps put away the one lie that has torn down their relationship. I really like this short story and it has enough romance and action to balance out. The only thing...more

I thought that this was just an ok read for me. It felt to cut up. A lot more tine could have been spent explaining things or toeing up loose ends. Just my thought.

Enjoyable short story! The author's Russian was a bit off according to my translator program! I have read this book twice and enjoyed it both times!

This is actually the 6th book in the series, and although I have read some of Felicity Heaton's books, this is the first of this series I have read.
I found it pretty easy to pick up the story - yes, there were some elements where previous knowledge would have helped, but it wasn't essential - and found the characters were sympathetic.
A nice story, and will be picking up the rest at some point.

It was an alright read. Very quick read. Not a book I will read again or the read more in the series. It wasn't very captivating.

Marise is a Law Keeper for her bloodline. She doesn't want to go home but an investigation requires her presence. An attack was made on a vampire, her previous love & lover.

Now she must conduct an investigation and find out who is behind the attacks and why. Assuming she can do her job without feeling the hurt from her broken heart due to the break up that took place fifty years ago.

This book was good. It was a slow read for me, something different than what I am used to reading.

I love the way Felicity can weave such an intense story into such a short story!!!

What can I say about this book except you know how to get a girl hot & bothered!

Nice short story that shows a little more about the law-keepers, and how they work and what makes them tick...

This story was not the best I've read and it did catch my interest somewhat, but I had more times than I like to lose interest because it became a little boring. I did get more into the story towards the end, but all in all this story was a miss for me. I do love this authors writing in other books, but this one just didn't excite me as much as her other books.
