I would give it 3.5 stars if I could but not quite good enough for 4. There are some loose ends that I would have preferred to see tied up with a more complete and thorough conclusion with respect to what happens to the characters involved. That being said, this novel "is not about the holocaust" as it states in the initial outline. It is about 11 days in 1940 London during the German Blitzkrieg. It has been a while since I read this book. Having been born in 1940, I am fascinated by stories of the war that was happening then, as are a lot of people, I'm sure. Though this is a novel, there are probably lots of factual events portrayed.
