¡Mokusei! es una historia con movimiento y muchas imágenes, la narración es profunda y se llega a sentir gran curiosidad por saber más de la historia. El Budha tras la Empalizada, en cambio, me pareció muy aburrido. La insistencia en la mención de infinidad de hechos y lugares en pocas líneas deja claro que uno se encuentra dentro de la mente del personaje, pero también se hace demasiado abstracto y complejo de seguir. Quien haya leído el comentario que publiqué anteriormente no se hará una idea de lo que es Nooteboom; afortunadamente voy a publicar bastantes cosas sobre él y ya aviso, la variedad de su obra es sencillamente proverbial. En este caso tenemos, quizá, lo que es una de sus partes más comunes.
