This is third book in the trilogy "The Fate of the Stone." The other two books, #1 The Secret of the Alchemist and #2 The Stone of Sorrow, are okay, although not really that interesting for teen readers. (Adults are frequently the only ones in scenes, which is hard for kids to identify with and the second books ends as a cliff hanger, making reading of this book necessary to complete the story.)

After listening to two CDs (out of seven), I gave up. It's just terrible, too many names, too confusing, I totally lost the plot and had no idea who was trying to get what from whom and why. and then I got bored and thought I should read/listen to something better and not waste my time with this awful YA stuff.
