He was wrong in his assessment of her

The scandalmongers had branded Alexa as the mistress of wealthy financier
Sam Darcy and that was enough for Leon. "Women like you are easily bought for the price of a few jewels," he told her contemptuously.

That was why Alexa fought so hard agains

Alexa Severn was first introduced in Donald's "Love's Reward" (Harlequin Presents, No 1233), as a friend of THAT story's heroine.

Here is her own HEA...which I didn't care for.

This guy was rather irritating with his nastiness towards her, I wanted her to punch him sometimes. I've ridden out hurricanes before and they aren't fun but I'd ride one out with this guy any day. :)

This was pretty decent. I didn't think the hero did enough groveling at the end given his horrible behavior, but I did like how it was obvious he was drawn to her against his will.

Im a sucker of hard mean Heroes and a the think-whatever-you-want type of h. It has this angst that i love. The only reason why i gave it 4 stars is bec of not enough groveling on the H part.
