I was happy to find a copy of the original edition in my supermarket's book fundraising table for $1.
The illustrations are so very meticulously detailed, yet very subtle. Sometimes detailed illustrations like this can turn into a swirling headache inducing mess, but these pictues use a great deal of white space so we're not overwhelmed with what's on the page. I probably like this a lot more than my 2 year old, but he does find a lot of little detail to laugh about. In a Paris department store...more
