“Mom always said my dad is the devil. I never knew she meant it literally!” All Angel’s father (a.k.a. the Devil) wants is to be a part of her life. And in return he has the power to give her anything she wants—including popularity and a date with her long-time crush, Cole Daniels. But Angel will only accept him on her terms: get out of the devil business and leave his spe ...more

Petroff has created a fun story in Bedeviled. The reader is entertained not only by the dynamic between Angel and her father (Lou Cipher, get it….Lucifer, haha) but is also treated to light-hearted lessons on morality, how individual decisions not only affect our own lives but also of those around us, and finally about acceptance. Despite the unrealistic circumstances, ie: the devil rises to claim his sweet awkward daughter, the story does view the above mentioned themes in a realistic light. An ...more

Totally entertaining! It reminds you of the days when you were younger and everything that now seems so little was SO major then. Angel is no, well, angel. This book is far from cliche. It's a breath of fresh air; light, humorous, and original. On a rainy day, this is the book to read.

OH YIPPEEE ! Angel's dad is the devil . The mom is a prayer , not like praying for GOD but praying the dad to stay away . Apparently , she was pouring Lucky Charms out of her bowl and found the tickets that she has been waiting to see ! The only reason why she wants to see the concert is because she likes this boy named Cody and she wants to talk to . When she got the tickets , she thought that her mother got them for her but NOT ! Her dad got her the tickets and her mom hates him and she is 194 ...more

I sometimes like to pick up Young Reader books & give them a whirl. The story of "Daddy's Little Angel" has quite a whimsical spin on the "devil", who is quite nice & good in many ways. The story is typical as the girl who isn't popular wants to be popular & finds out it might not be what is expected. Yet it gives the spin of the devil being involved in the family life, which changes the outcome in many ways. Friendship, school, magic & family issues are all a part of the story. ...more

Mungkin aku sudah terlalu dewasa untuk membaca novel teenlit (?) haha, jadi aku nggak berharap terlalu banyak waktu lihat sampulnya. Kupikir bakal gitu-gitu aja dan klise. Ternyata nggak seburuk itu.

Ceritanya cepat, ringan, cukup alami, dan kompleks, pas. Aku hanya membutuhkan waktu sekitar 4 jam untuk menyelesaikannya.
Aku dibuat penasaran dan tegang tiap kali Angel harus membuat keputusan seperti, "Oh, jangan, jangan. Ya, begitu, bagus. Oooh tidaak!"

The most what i like about books are the kind of lessons that the author is trying teach the reader and this book has done well explaining her lesson through the book. The lesson of the book was that their is no immortality, but there is always mortality, how making decisions on your own can also affect people around you and how to accept reality.

The thing that i don't like about this book is that the chapters are really short, and to add more fuel to the fire. This book is really slow at gett

Another teenlit dengan sentuhan fantasi. Akhirnya, Angel mendapati kenyataan, that her dad is a devil. Literally. Dan mulailah hidup Angel jungkir balik.

Sebagaimana sebuah novel dengan genre teenlit, it’s a cute book.

If you want a classic middle school popularity story with a funky paranormal twist, consider Shani Petroff’s debut book. It’s got the social angst that will appeal to middle school girls, with just enough crossover appeal that will sing for older readers.

I enjoyed Shani Petroff’s take on the Devil, making him into a—dare I say it?—likable, sympathetic character. (I mean, the guy wants to be called Lou. Is that non-Satanic enough for you?) DADDY’S LITTLE ANGEL convincingly shows the limitations o

The set-up for this novel is quite cute: main character Angel is going to have a tough enough time in eight grade without having to deal with the realization that her father is the literal devil, and having her mom trying to rectify the situation with her New Age philosophies and healing stones isn't going to help matters any.

For the most part, this novel delivers on the cute premise - the dialogue and characters are well-written, and the overall feel of eight grade

I just finished reading Daddy's Little Angel by Shani Petroff. It was a pretty decent book. It was about a girl named Angel. She figured out that her dad is the devil. She doesn't think its the greatest thing in the world, but it does make her more popular. She got the popular kids to notice her. Having a devil as a dad isn't all that great for her. He comes out of nowhere and make her look like she is talking to herself. Her crush, Cole might think she is weird. On the other hand, the devil, L ...more

Plot yang simple. Khas remaja. Menyenangkan. Ide yang unik. I mean, anak dari Iblis? The Lucifer himself? Bagaimana coba...!! X))

Cuma satu problemku membaca ini. The fact that I know Satan know nothing about love, and that he cannot love, membuatku merinding waktu baca bagian si Lou (singkatan dari Lou Cipher = Lucifer) bilang ke anaknya: I love you.

Weks o_O

Tapi sebagai fiksi, I enjoy it very much :)

Ok, is it just me or is there a trend in books that goes a little something like this: Girl has a best friend and isn't popular but wants to be, something happens so she becomes popular (in this case it's because her dads the Devil, so yeah, a bit more original) and drops the best friend, the popular people drop her, and her friend becomes her friend again, and she somehow gets the boy she wants (usually a popular boy). Seriously, is it just me?

Well, besides that totally cliche plot, this was a

This book Daddy's Little Angel is an amazing book. This book explains the life of a girl who's father is the devil. That must be rough but with a mother putting in your mind that your own father is dead must be even rougher. This girl had a birthday and her favorite band was coming to her city to perform. She wanted the tickets so badly and during her breakfast she poured the tickets out of the cereal box. She thought they came from her mom but the letter said love dad. She asked her mom if her ...more

Angel's 13th birthday would be perfrect if she just got tickets to her favorite band's local performance. But alas, they are sold out so fast her mom can't buy any. But wait!. 2 tickets mysteriously appear in her cereal box. When Angel's mom freaks out Angel is confused. Isn't this a joke played by the BEST MOM EVER? Uh, no. It is a gift from her supposedly dead father. Shock, right? Dad is not dead! Sort of. Shock , Dad is the Devil. That's right. Capital D. Now everything Angel has wanted is a ...more

On her 13th birthday, Angel discovers the secret that her mom's been keeping from her: her dad is literally the devil - and he wants to be involved in her life. Angel struggles with this revelation, loving the perks that her dad's job nets for her (free concert tickets, for example) but unsure how her dad's influence is changing the rest of her life.

The premise of this book is really cute, and although it's a tad predictable at times, I can see tweens really getting into this. Angel's problems,

Sungguh menghibur! Memang sedikit menyedihkan kisah mengenai pergolakan bathin Angel. Kartu kredit tanpa batas populeritas, cowok pujaan bahkan pembalasan dendam!

Angel Garrett is a girl with a lot of self confidence. Throughtout the story, she didn't want her dad, the devil, to help out with any of her problems. She thinks she can get back at Courtney herself and get Cole to herself without any of her dad/powers help. She thinks she can go on with her life without the powers. She refuse to accept him as a father or give him a chance as long as he is still a devil.

I think this is an interesting book that keeps you on the edge of your seat. This book inv

I received this in a Goodreads giveaway (yay!) and the book was autographed and included a bookmark, which was a nice surprise.

It's a very sweet book. Angel is in 8th grade and has grown up as an only child with her mom. As far as Angel knows, her dad is not living and was the devil. Which might make you question the mom's parenting skills with the bad mouthing the dad, except that actually, her dad is the devil. Lou Cipher (get it?). Aside from that, this is a story about a girl who is tempted
