Den er meget forvirrende i begyndelse. Man får en god forståelse for det kaos Yoko med et bliver kastet ind i, og man har mange travlt med at følge med når der bliver kastet rundt med navne betegnelser, oversættelser og tal. På samme tid får man en fornemmelse af at bogen er skrevet "til en anden" kultur. De hverdagsscener der bliver beskrevet, hvor der sker ting som tilsyneladende er helt normalt virker akavet i forhold til hvad vi er vant til - man får altså sammen med den gode historie et gli ...more

J'ai dû faire une petite pause au milieu de ma lecture, parce qu'ayant vu l'animé, je trouvais que ça n'avançait pas très vite... Mais là je viens de le finir, et j'ai déjà acheté le 2ème pour pouvoir continuer à lire :)

J'aime assez les nuances par rapport à la version DVD, et j'ai tendance à trouver certains points des romans plus logique.

A lire pour ceux qui aiment le genre.

Traduction du japonnais tres bien arrangee, histore tres creative, tant qu'on y croit vraiment.
On importe l'idee que soudainement realizer qu'on est souverain d'un royaune lointain and et que notre pauvre vie n'est en fin qu'un reve, n'est pas toujours une heureuse fin.
Personnages attachants, profonds et qui evoluent.

This is a nice series of novels for young teenagers. It's not really optimistic all the time, but I enjoyed it a lot. It's got those lights that catch your old young imagination.

Kanji Name: 小野 不由美.

Fuyumi Ono (小野 不由美, Ono Fuyumi) is a Japanese novelist who is best known for writing the Twelve Kingdoms (十二国記, Juuni Kokuki) series, on which a popular anime is based. Her name after marriage is Fuyumi Uchida (内田不由美, Uchida Fuyumi), but she writes under her maiden name.
