any and all fans of a beautiful love story
I remember when I realized I was in love with Keanu Reeves. It was when I watched Point Break. The scene when Keanu is soaking wet, and looking over his shoulder. The water was dripping off his black hair, and made his shirt cling to the taut muscles of his chest and biceps. It was love as only a fifteen year old girl can feel. It was a profound feeling. Yet, I can't imagine how Faith must have felt when she looked at the big screen, and she realized the man she was in love with, the man she ...more
I enjoyed Tempting Faith. I give it 4 1/2 stars, which you've got to round up to five. I thought that Alex and Faith were a great couple and I loved the chemistry between the two of them. Also, Alex has scars, which I find incredibly SEXY. I could have done without the play Garden of Evils, hence the 1/2 star deduction.
I loved the following part SO MUCH:
"I know you love me. You show it every second I'm with you. I wanted to know if you could accept it." ..."Takin...more

This one was a bit difficult to rank. On the one hand, the author's technical writing and storytelling ability is MUCH higher than the majority of the romances I have had the displeasure of perusing. There is a lot going for it that will work with many readers.
On the other hand, parts of the story just didn't work for me. Major parts. Essentially, any part where the main characters were grown up. How many times did I wish that this was a YA romance rather than an adult one? Each fl...more

Dill grabbed his head as if he were in pain. "You are dinner, Faith. Alex is breakfast. Meals should never mix!"
"How dare you discriminate against intermeal eating, Dill." Pepper chastised as she glided by to seat a group of six.
Faith Wheeler and Alex Brannon both grew up as outcasts in a small mining town in the West Virginia hills. He was considered white trash and poor, the son of drunken and abusive parents. She was the only black girl in town...more

Once again Crystal Hubbard weaves another INTRIGUING tale with a MEMORABLE cast of characters and her signature brand of witty dialogue throughout. I enjoyed Faith, she's a strong, independent and honest woman. I love the way Faith sees the real Alex Brannon with ALL his “scars” and still readily accepts him and loves him regardless of what the small minds of Booger Hollow have to say about him. The innocent attraction between Alex and Faith as teens is HEARTWARMING. And when they FINALLY re...more
I loved Faith and Zander's story. They had a romance that was based on a friendship that began in high school.
Faith believe that he died in a flood and had a hard time getting over him. She later finds out that he used the flood to leave town. He changed his name and became Hollywood's newest heart-thob.
Zander aka Alex tried to put his poor, abusive and hurtful life in West Virginia behind him. Once he saw Faith again, he realized she was the once thing missing in his life.

I like Crystal Hubbard books but I loved, loved, loved Tempting Faith. Faith Wheeler is a "infortainment" reporter in Hollywood. When she was young she met her first love Alex Brannon. Alex disappeared in a flood but he turned up ten years later as an actor with a made up past and a new name, Zander Baron. Faith is thrown into a tailspin. All the old feelings she had put aside come back, she's a reporter with a great story to write, and she has to know why Alex let her think he was dea...more
I wasn't sure that this one would hold my attention because I'm not into books about celebrities. Tempting Faith is about an actor but his career is incidental to the plot which is the story of a lost love rediscovered between Faith Wheeler and Zander Baron. Once again Hubbard has written an absorbing tale that depicts the very real emotions that come into play when two people with history fall in love. I have to say that the sex scenes in this book are the best Hubbard has ever written.
Black vs white, rich vs poor, good parents vs bad parents, all add to this intense story set in Booger Hollow. Teenagers Zander,AKA Alexander and Faith are pulled apart by an act nature, lies, secrets and hate of others. Will the next act of nature totally destroy then?
A great second chance at love story. Mr Baron went through so much to change who he was only to find true love with a woman who knew him when. True love loves you before you all that and still loves you when are way back when.
Love the book just finished reading it two weeks ago!
I did like this tory.
I loved it
Mixed feelings. I feel there was a lot of extra in this book. I did like the story of Alex/Zander. It was such a tags to riches story all being topped off by the fact that he got 'the girl'. Other than that, this was pretty much the run of the mill romance. I was a tad disappointed and feel like I have read better books by Crystal Hubbard. This wasn't a bad read, it just didn't grip me from the beginning the way some of her other books have.
I really enjoyed this book. "Tempting Faith" is intelligently written, easy to read, entertaining and has my prerequisite for a good romance novel, a sappy, happy ending. Crystal Hubbard's writing skills are on full display in this well done novel.
