This book was in the latest issue of High Adventure, which reprints pulp fiction, and I had a good time with it. One of the funniest things is that the Police Chief turns over a high interest murder investigation to a private investigator. Yeah, that happens. The beginning is great with the first three chapters ending with a different person coming in and confessing. There are lot of suspects and the story keeps going and it is surprising. The writing is pulp fiction but the story just moves.
