An award-winning photographer asked several children "What is the best part of you?", and presents their answers in this sometimes funny, sometimes moving, deeply personal book that includes striking black-and-white photographs taken by the author. Ideal for parents and teacher to use to discuss body image, self-esteem, and diversity with children.

This book is a great real-life way to show kids how everyone is unique and special in their own way. By using photographs of students' favorite body parts, it illustrates elementary students' favorite qualities and has them share why that makes them who they are. A beautiful book for reinforcing diversity and the wonder of no two people being the same (also perfect for a writing entry!).

This is a great book for students to write about a best part of themselves. This book can be used to motivate students in writing because there are many good examples are provided.

This is a great book to help kids learn to like thoer bodies along with learning to apprecaite how unique and special they are. Planning on using this with the Girls on the Run team.

I was going to use this as an example (the neck poem) and writing prompt for kids to compose a poem about their favorite parts of their bodies.
Christi
A really interesting idea -- kids direct pictures of their favorite part of their body and then write about it.
