I've always been really interested in how people die. I read Final Exits: The Illustrated Encyclopedia of How We Die which was brilliant, and moved on to this book. Which is well... um, tasteless is the wrong word because we're dealing with a tasteless subject. But really rude and disrespectful.

For example, the stories in the book have headlines like "Cop Killer," which isn't so bad, but what is, is "Suicidal Nut," "Top Ten Ridiculous Suicides", and "Beam Me Up, Nutty" are just a few. With the s...more

There is no shortage of stupid ways to die, as this book demonstrates. But a significant number of the deaths were due to sheer bad luck. I mean really, *really*, bad luck. Rachel Greenaway, for example, drowned in just 12 inches of water after tripping and falling headfirst into her ornamental pond. She knocked herself unconscious when she hit her head in the fall. Should have guessed by the title that this was going to be very irreverent, to say the least, but we shouldn't joke it up quite this much. These people weren't really ALL suicidal, so show a little respect for their . . . stupidity, since it took them out.
