He's absolutely perfect.

If only he were real.

Everything goes perfectly for Isabelle Hunter. It always has. Until the day her on-again/off-again boyfriend, Shawn "Sluttig" Littig, breaks up with her. And just a few months away from her prom. Isabelle has been dreaming of the prom for years. She's so obsessed with the prom she's created a notebook that has every last detail of the dream night planned out.

Her friends Lane and Vivi have never approved of Shawn and decide to do whatever they can to keep h...more

it was really ...Wow.I didn't expect at this...I really liked. It is an easy read, which you can read in several hours.
It may contain spoilers.

Ok so...Issabelle is the most beautifull, intelinget, popular, loved, etc but she is really stupid when is talking about boys.Ok.It's really wierd...but i liked it.
That Shawn is really....*no words*..And i can say that belle is a little stupid too.I want to say...He had an accident with her car,and then she forgives him like it was nothing. And she sees him kiss...more

The premise of the book is a girl trying to save her best friend from forgiving the boyfriend that keeps ruining her best friend's life. The girl enlists the aid of their other best friend and the mess just keep getting grander and grander. And "forgive" isn't exactly the right word. They don't care if she forgives him; they just don't want her to take him back to allow him to hurt her again. Because they know he will. Because he always does and has for the past four years.

So the two friends inv...more

To be absolutely blunt, I really found this book cheesy. Its about this group of girl, this one girl unhealthily attached to her abusive/douchebag of a boyfriend. Her other 2 friends really want to help her friend get over him, and instead of having a heart-to-heart between them and probably the counselor like most friends would, they think it would be smart to create a "online boyfriend" to take her to Prom. It is very, very obvious that these girls have never had an Internet safety speech, oth...more

Okay, the only reason I didn't put one star is that I don't like to say I hate something unless it wasn't very enjoyable or the ending was all I was waiting for and it put a bad taste in my mouth.
On to the book. It's about two friends creating a fake boyfriend for the one who has a terrible one (boyfriend). Then one friend, Vivi ends up liking the "fake" boyfriend, and Vivi's brother likes the girl who's being set up. So it seemed pretty dramatic, a bit of soap opera and all. But...I guess that...more

The story is about Vivi and Lane planning about making their friend Izzy get over her ex-boyfriend who happens to take her for granted. Vivi and Lane starts their plan through creating a MySpace account of a guy who would flirt with Izzy and make her fall in love.
The same as many stories go, there were a lot of exciting twists that happened from the start till the end.

The story line is exciting and catchy. I admit that the story really kept me hooked even though I'm a little annoyed with some of...more

I was really attracted to the premise of this book, two friends make online fake romantic interest for third friend to get her away from her sleazy ex-boyfriend. It could have played out in a number of ways and I wanted to find out how it would.

For the most part this was a fun book! I really liked the character of Lane, who was in love with her best guy friend but couldn't tell him! I also liked the conflict that Vivi goes through in the book. I didn't really care for the character of Isabelle...more

I love the entire story plot!

It was very teen-ish but in a very humorous kind of way! The cover and the title drew me in to read this book and it was totally worth it. I was giggling like a hyena throughout the book and it was really making me giddy and feeling a bit 'out-of-order'. I love they style of writing, nothing too serious, yet nothing too kiddish either, a perfect book to hit the beach with or curled with for a good light reading.
I had grown fond of Kate's books and every book she wr...more

"Fake Boyfriend" was an incredible book. The story was about 3 best friends who were getting ready to go to the prom with their dates but then their dates either brake up with them or cheat on them which was the case for Isabelle. She was very smart, pretty, popular, and an intelligent person. Isabelle's friends were so sick of her boyfriend cheating on her,so they made a fake my space account of the guy of her dreams. Isabelle started to talk to the fake guy "Brandon" and started to really like...more

This book is about a kid who some how doesn't understand everything that might happen if you mess with the wrong people. Do you know feeling that your meeting someone not face to face but online? They got to feeling that they arent real, just FAKE PEOPLE!

I can make a text to world connection because when your online no one knows who you really are. Can you change your whole identity because no one sees you behind the screen. I think that you can make a whole other person, you can be whoever you...more

Genială! Cu siguranță cartea mea preferată, ziceam, cea mai bună citită în ultima vreme and so on.
Personaje, poveste... incredibile!

I was really excited to read this book. It had an interesting plot, and it seemed like it would be good. I read the book Private by the same author, and I liked it. As soon as I started reading it, I hated it. It had an interesting plot, but there were plenty of things wrong with it.
One thing is the writing. The characters are pretty unrealistic. They talk in a sort of text language sometimes, and the things they say don't seem to be terribly senior-in-high-school. I also felt like the plot was...more

Ok, this book....I don't know how I had ever managed to finish it but I did.

Let's say that I think not too much feelings were put into this book. The writing was long, and to be honest, in parts boring. It took me about 4-5 chapters to finally understand who was who and to begin living in their lives, and when I come across a book like that I right away shake my head and go 'No, the author didn't succeed in making me want to actually OWN a copy of this book'

The plot....not the most original but o...more

My opinion:
I don’t know why I wanted to read the book. Probably it was because the description attracted me or.. I don’t know. The point is that I haven’t regretted for a second that I have read it! I had an amazing pleasure to remember that I was in some kind of this mess, a mess created by some close friends, so everything was even funnier!

Fake Boyfriend is probably just as good as you suspect it'll be, but not as good as you secretly hope it will be. Vivi and Lane are the only characters to truly approach three dimensional status and even that's a little iffy. Which is fine, actually, because Isabelle needs to be perfect, Shawn needs to be a jerk, and since the story is told through Vivi and Lane, you're not going to really get to know Marshall [he's Vivi's brother:] and Jonathon is eye candy with a brain.

Had the book been longer...more

First of all, if you like reading about a pathetic senior girl obsessing over prom since she was a freshman then this is the perfect book for you. The girl with the lousy boyfriend doesn't want to dump him because she's afraid of being dateless for prom and has imagined her perfect prom night since she was in 9th grade. The girl even has a binder of pictures of dresses and tuxedos, like wtf? Nobody in real life (at least not normal people) would freaking plan their f-ing prom 4 years in advance,...more

I rated this as 1/5 but i don't know if it came like that because the iPad's clonky right now. Anyways, moving on.
I HATED this book!!! It was seriously one of the dumbest books i've ever read! I didn't even finish it, but from what i read, it deserved lower than one.
Isabella: is ANOYINGLY PATHETIC!!!!!!!! She is SUCH a klunk-headed(teehee, maze runner slang!!:)idiot!!! Her obsession with shawn was disgustingly, ridiculously dumb!!!!
Vivi: mistreated her brother. It was terrible. I was feeling so...more

The reason I gave this book three stars is because it was entertaining, not
really one of my favorites, but wasn't that bad. The story line was okay, and the
characters well prtrayed, but the dialogue was kind of cheesy. There were, however,
funny moments you wouldn't expect. The ending was totally obvious, but I liked how
it turned out. It's one of those books that I could lay in bed with all day
and read when I'm bored for a little laugh and entertainment. I wouldn't mind
reading it again, but l...more

The title is excatly what caught my eye. You know the saying don't judge a book by it's cover? well believe it. This book is fantastic for anyone who is intrested by relationships. The plot line for this book is like a drama series where a girl's boyfriend is cheating on her and she finds out. And as all great friends do they try to help you greive. But instead of what you think that normal friends would do like watch movies eat ice cream and everything, instead they create the perfect boyfriend...more

Have you ever had friend that cared TOO much about you? In this book there are three friend that have been friends for a long time. They always look out for each other and want the best for all. But sometimes the best is not the BEST.

In this book I saw a text to world connection because some creepy people make my space accounts and try to be someone their not. That way the person who is talking to the creepy person is getting fooled. People all over the world are on my space or on face book, wh...more

I set out to read this book with little expectation of greatness or anything profound from it. And, as I began it, I found it a little dry, the characters a little cliche and impersonal, the plot predictable. But as it went on, the plot became less and less predictable, until I couldn't put it down. The main character Vivi still was a bit unrelatable and Isabelle's cluelessness made me wonder if the author had ever met a girl before. But the other characters were loveable, the subplots were ador...more

My friend gave me this to read and I thought it would be stupid. I dreaded started it, but as soon as I read the first page, I was into it. I loved it so much! It kept me flipping the pages, even during my classes. I couldn't stop! I started the book in the morning before school and ended it when I got home from school. It was a nice, normal, teen read. Instead of vampires, faeries, and werewolves (like I normally read about) it had normal teenage girls in it trying to help out their friend.

"Fake Boyfriend" is a funny, caring, and an exciting book. I found myself wanting to cry, yell, and frustrated at what the characters did. Mostly it's about friendship between three best friends. Two of them just want to heal a friend's broken heart, but making her own decisions for her, is that a good friend? One is bossy and a control freak, but the other is shy and a pushover. I learned from this book that if something is bothering me about my friend instead of making a decision for her I'll...more
