This book was cute, but pretty darn silly... and quite naughty!
Between the name of the pool place Charlie frequents, his mom and aunt's naughty bakery... Charlie and Eve's thoughts... The next-door neighbor (Eunice) who was supposedly abducted by sex aliens, and Charlie's cousin (Rick) who's a total horn-ball... I think sex was mentioned every 5 words, either directly or indirectly. That's a bit much for me. Plus, Eunice/Rick's... errr... adventures... were really... over the to...more

This book was a waste of time. It had none of the charm of _Nerd in Shining Armor_ nor the humor of some of the other titles in the “Nerd” series. I am usually very good at suspending disbelief. Not this time. I didn’t believe in the heroine at all. Didn’t believe should could be an incredibly successful model AND genius inventor all rolled into one. She barely pays attention to her career or her looks – they’re just a way to earn money. This philosophy is completely at...more

I love man with glasses, perhaps because I wear it myself.
So I was excited reading these nerd series.
Ini buku ke-2 dari seri Nerd yang saya baca setelah Gone With The Nerd.
Ceritanya sih lumayan. Dan tokoh ceweknya (yang pekerjaan sebelumnya adalah model) nggak cuma cantik tapi juga pinter.
Tapi entah kenapa nggak seantusias baca Gone With The Nerd.
Di sini agak males karena belum apa-apa mereka udah tertarik secara seksual. Dan fokusnya mereka akhirnya ya ke situ aja....more

Holy Hot Nerds, Ladies!!!!!!!! What a hoot! I have to say that my love for Ms Thompson's nerds started several years ago when I picked up Nerd Gone Wild. It was the first one I read in the series and I loved it. Now I have read other "series" books and have most of the time been disappointed by the ones that come after, but not in this case! I laughed, my heart fluttered and I felt all warm and fuzzy at the end.

This is my all-time favorite from this series! It was so refreshing to have the female protagonist be a nerd. Eve Dupree is a fashion model, and no one will allow her to step outside of that role. So she's turned into something of a garage inventor, and someday she plans on proving them all wrong. Charlie Shepherd meets Eve when something explodes in her garage as he's driving home from work. It's an apt beginning - their relationship is nothing short of explosive itself. I especially loved that...more
Lord help me from writers who don't seem to know anything about their subject. I got eyestrain from the extreme eyerolling that I did while reading this book. By far the worst in the Nerd series, the only one I found painful to read. I could have gone along witha model who's also a genius inventor, if it weren't for the fact that the author had her inventing not only a hovercraft prototype, but the propulsion system and a biofuel as well? One wasn't enough, she has to invent all three? AND she's...more
This was my first Adult romance novel that I've ever read and I have to say that it was tame in comparison to what adult romance novels could be. I did laugh throughout the book over the dialoge and the characters. The nerdy talk was hilarious and I didn't realize how engineering could be hot. ha. ha.
I read this on a cruise and it was a great fun light read for the beaches.

The sex scenes were great; I especially liked the aftermath of the first one in the kitchen.
I didn't think the suspense about who was stealing her invention was handled well -- I didn't believe that she wouldn't want to call the police and the ending, well, a little too pat and touchy-feely for me.
Other than that, it was a good, quick read.

finally..
i started this book a month ago. but i had a difficult time to finish it. kinda boring though the story was cute. i always have a thing to nerd. but as far the story goes, it bored me with the too much sex in every pages.
sigh-- i am just being silly. but i wont read the next book in this serie. once was enough for me

I was flirting with giving this two stars because I felt bad for it, but I just sucked it up and gave it one star.
This was a great concept that was... well... suckily realized. I know it's not a word, but it's accurate. I kept thinking it was going to get better, but it just continued to be... stupid.

This book was cute and charming, with a perfect dash of sexy. The romance between the characters had a beautiful charm to it, while being hot and even a bit "dirty" at times :). There was a even a little side story line with other charming and even outrageous characters. A great rainy afternoon read.
This story started out okay with a unique plot but pretty soon the events began to get silly and unbelievable plus the hero and heroine fought their attraction too much so I skimmed a lot. Engineer Charlie discovers model Eve's invention and helps her find the person trying to steal her idea.
ok. yes, there was soo many sex scenes that it drove you crazy! but it was cute and i liked it! alot!... i just didnt pay but attention to it! if you are goin to let that ruin the book then dont read it! (or is you are under age, then just dont read it!)
Totally fluff reading, and fun to boot! This is the fourth of Thompson's "Nerd" books that I've read this year. Like the others, I owe them to Jordanne who won them from me in a swap at BookObsessed.
Well written and smart (no pun intended). I like that a more or less every day guy can be a heart throb - most of us date/marry/divorce every day guys, so I think it is nice to see them get the starring role now and again.
This is a highly entertaining series of novels. But can we call either character a "good old fashioned nerd" when they are always "ripped" and "toned". If the nerd is supposed to be the girl then she is always curvaceous and packing a killer body. Then typically we find out that both main characters are nerds, one a professed nerd and the other a secret nerd. Thats my big thing with it, the nerd is always ripped and winds up being the King of Lotharios and I underst...more
I just got finished with this on last week. It's a slower read than the others, but still worth the read. It made me want a Charlie for my own!!!
we love this series, but this one wasn't as fun because the nerd is a girl. still very good...p.s. can be alittle pg-13 at times!

No compelling story line, couldn't finish it, glad I got it from the library and did not spend any money on it.
I have read a few of the "nerd" books by Lewis, and I think that it is time for the author to move on.

I don't like her writing style and choice of characters. I took it back after only skimming the book.
Nerds #5 brings a new twist to the Nerd Series. Not only is there a hunky, nerdy, male lead, but the heroine is nerdier than her male counterpart! While that was a nice change, the plot in this one is a bit too far fetched, and it seemed to run on way too long, then ends abruptly. It was still a fun and sexy story, but not one of the best from this series.
I love this series. Always fun and imaginative. A little hokey at times but I still liked it. Perfect for the beach or long trips.
i've always loved the nerd series by vicki lewis thompson!

Talk Nerdy to Me (The Nerd Series) by Vicki Lewis Thompson (2006)
Had me in stichescouldn't put down
I thoroughly enjoyed this "Nerd" book as I have all the others. Charlie and Eve have chemistry and a story line that sets Thompson apart from other romance novelists. I loved the crazy next door neighboor Eunice, with her alien abduction sex fantasies and I also loved the Shepard sisters and their Hot Buns bakery. I thought the hovercraft idea was a little too far fetched, and I lost it a little with the testing equipment dirty talk. But I guess to each Nerd his own. Another keeper...more
