This book is a bit of a quandary when it comes to determining if it is a wise addition to your children’s library. First of all, the opening poem, “Who killed Cock Robin?” may not be the best poem to include as the first one in the book, considering there are several other poems they could have picked for little ones that are not so focused on dark words such as “blood…kill…die…grave.” For a nursery book, this poem is a bit incongruous, particularly as an opener.
