I have to give this a good score because it really did keep me entertained until the end.

Here are the top three comments I have:

1) I read the book because I was interested to see how Anderson took real-life magick and interwove it with fictional lore but it soon became obvious it was written with a Wiccan 101 book on hand. I have nothing against herbalists or color magick but I am hard pressed to believe either could do much damage as a stand alone force against a werewolf curse.

I quite enjoyed this short tale. There was a little low confidence mixed with a werewolf and a witch, some magic, a curse, and some smitten. What a mixture.

I was hanging off of every page. Liked the characters and their relationship to each other.

A great read following a bunch of mediocre ones.

Anderson's writing continues to impress me, whether she is writing shorter stories or longer novels. Like many romance authors, she favors the alpha male, but her alphas are not asses. Rather, they tend to be sympathetic characters, as she frequently switches the writing to the point of view of the male lead, as well as the female.

The book was an interesting paranormal erotica read with the differing aspects in it.
Sara is a small town witch who's been in love with her brother's best friend for years. Reeves returns from a tour in the Middle East. He is upset by the death of his best friend and has been cursed to be a werewolf by a crone.

Evangeline Anderson is a registered MRI tech who would rather be writing. And yes, she is nerdy enough to have a bumper sticker that says “I’d rather be writing.” Honk if you see her! She is thirty-something and lives in Florida with a husband, a son, and two cats. She had been writing erotic fiction for her own gratification for a number of years before it occurred to her to try and get paid for...more
