This is the book that I wrote about my Tarot deck. In it, I explore the real, factual history of the Tarot (No one knows, and does it really make any difference?) as well as a chapter about the theories of the history of the Tarot in general, and a recounting of the history of the Robin Wood Tarot. There is a description of the symbolism that is common to most decks, along ...more

Outstanding. I have owned a Robin Wood Tarot deck for around 20 years, and only found this book a few years ago. This is the first time I have read it all the way through. Now, more than ever, I know that this is the deck for me. I really appreciate how Ms. Wood has kept enough of the original Tarot symbolism to be familiar to experienced readers, yet has made it compatible with a Pagan worldview. Just lovely and wise.
