Hmmmm...what to say. Not my favorite book by Lacey Alexander, but maybe because it just wasn't my style. I guess I should have known what I was in for after reading the synopsis, but somehow I was hoping it would play out a bit differently. I guess I was looking for a big connection (besides the sexual) between the H/h, and I just don't think I felt that intimacy I was looking for between the couple until very late in the story. I think the revelation of why the hero, Brent, could not be emotion...more
I liked this book, but had to suspend belief on part of it. I thought it was funny that Jenna's friends entered her in this usual sweepstakes, especially considering that she won. What are the odds! It was the resort and how Jenna was handled that made me suspend my belief.
I thought the idea of the resort to be funny, that it would cost so much even more so. I thought the idea of same sex guides to be a good idea. When things happen and Jenna gets stuck with a male one and things start to go ou...more

When I originally started this book I was way turned off. I gave it another go it did get a bit better as I went along but not much.
It fell short in making me care about the hero. I just didn't like him and I actually felt he was a bit of a sleaze so in turn reading about sex with him was icky! (and it had nothing to do with the m/m scene. I was already turned off.)
The plot suffered severely do to lack of character development as well as pacing. By the time I learned of Brent's "issues" it was...more

I had a lot of fun with this one. I heard it was Lacey's racist book yet, and it didn't disappoint with the heat at ALL! Brent really wanted to give Jenna what she needed, and that included schoolgirl/priest, exotic harem, dungeon slave, and ship captain’s prisoner, just to name a few. As a guide at Hotel Erotique, Brent is breaking all the rules with Jenna. When Jenna’s female guide is unavailable (as all guides should be the same sex as the guest), Brent steps in. But Jenna doesn't hi...more

A woman Who thinks she's perfectly happy in her sex life wins a trip to a hedonistic/sensual/sex resort. There she is introduced to such a wide range of activities that all but the most sexually adventurous would have some trepidation. f/f, m/m, m/f/f, m/f/m/m, m/f/m/f/f and most other permutations are explored in this book. BDSM, voyeurism, sex with strangers, orgies, toys, rape fantasies are also explored. While they were stretching more than just her boundaries I kept waiting for our hero to...more

This was a DNF for me. I've read most of Lacey's books, and have really enjoyed them all. Unfortunately, with this one, I just couldn't get into the characters. I found the heroine a bit whiny, and Brent constantly telling her what she needed off-putting. Hence, the sex scenes became icky. I read ahead to several parts to see if it would get better for me, and it wasn't the sex that turned me off, but Brent's attitude. So when I read the scene revealing his motivations, I didn't care, and I just...more
This is a 3 1/2 stars for me. It was very, very hot with almost any scenario you could imagine thrown in which is good because it is a book about fantasies. The two main characters were believable within their own world. I am so naive that even imagining a place like this hotel is beyond me. But if you buy into the precept then everything else truly does fit nicely in this world she's created. With any other author the scenes would have been too much lust and not enough love, but Ms. Blake (Lace...more
So, I find myself in a very weird place after finishing this book. Some parts of it I really like while others I did not like. This book contained some things that I normally do not choose to read. I must say this book was a scorcher. Some parts of it were more erotica and some parts romantica. I just figured out that I am more of a romantica reader. At any rate the erotic parts were done tastefully and not too over the top. So I rated it a 3 star because all in all, I did like it.
This review is written on behalf of my wife.
After starting on 'Fifty' this is the second book my wife read in the erotic realm. Quite literally this book, following on the heels of 'Seven Nights of Sin' helped to flip a switch. My wife loved, again, the theme of someone who started out fairly reserved, having the world of erotic pleasures opened before them. She strongly related to the lead who gently pushed by friends into the erotic resort, opening up and exploring more and more, to the point...more

Smutty, Smut, Smut, not that that is necessarily a bad thing. The plot was a little far reaching, the heroine wins a trip to an erotica resort. She is pretty vanilla and not into it, but decides to go to enjoy the sun and beach. Enter her hot sex guide who plans fantasies for her, he is not suppose to get involved with her, yeah that lasted 5 minutes and they were doing it every which way possible. Lots of role playing fantasies that were pretty sexy. You had the naughty school girl, love slave/...more
I never have enough time to read, so it usually takes me a while to finish a book--as in, about a month. I devoured this one in four days. Loved it! Gave up coveted sleep for it. The role play was steamy and it had a satisfying HEA ending. The "we've all been tested and even though we have MULTIPLE sex partners everyday, no condoms are necessary" made my safe-sex sensors cringe a bit, but I got over it. Fun read!
Ummm, I just couldn't get into this at all. I felt no connection to the characters, the story, nothing. The sex was even boring. Maybe it was because I just felt like the whole premise was dumb. I don't know, but it turned me off.
I'm not writing a review for this book like I wanted to because I did not finish this book. This was mediocrity at its best, this book just didn't hold my interest. I think part of it had to do with the far-fetched premise of this book. If you want to check out Lacey Alexander books I totally recommend "The Bikini Diaries" and "Seven Nights of Sin." I hear "Voyeur" is really good as well, it remains on my TBR pile at the moment. Nonetheless, I look forward to the next Lacey book and only hope it...more

Not great, but not horrible.
I liked this one but not nearly as much as The Bikini Diaries. This one just didn't resonate with me as much as the TBD. It was hot and intense, but there was just something about it.

Lacey Alexander's books have been called deliciously decadent, unbelievably erotic, exceptionally arousing, blazingly sexual, and downright sinful. In each book, Lacey strives to take her readers on the ultimate erotic adventure and hopes her books will encourage women to embrace their sexual fantasies.
