Fast Company by:Rich Wallace,
I enjoyed this book a lot, i couldn't put the book down. This book was about a boy (Manny) whose football season had just ended and one of his coaches asks if he wants to join the team. Manny trains all season long competing against the best runners in the area. Manny put in time and effort to try to win the metropolitan championship.
i liked the book and how it goes right along with the roar of the crowd, but i wish the ending was different like how he placed second, i was a little bothered how he didnt fully win, but besides that it showed you how you can do anything and to be the best at something you have to work for it.

I read this book when I first started to run track and cross country. it is one of very few books that actually involve a middle schooler who runs track. its only about 100 pages, so it is a quick read. but it was well written! I could see it happening as if I were in the race.
