This is the second book of "The Hidden Manhattan Mysteries" by Evan Marshall. I generally don't read mysteries by male authors because they aren't normally cozies. Anna Winthrop, socialite turned sanitation supervisor, has her hands full when a celebutante is sentenced to community service on her watch. But when an unpopular employee is murdered, Anna jumps to clear one of her young employees, who is the chief suspect in the case. Was the dead woman really killed by a serial murderer who had been terrorizing New York? Or was it a copycat killing?

this book was pretty good. i liked the main character, anna, although i think the way she figured out who the killer is was too far fetched. i dont see how anyone could have made the connection. anna was smart, but not immortally smart.

This was the first time I read this author and I really enjoyed his writing style. The mystery was interesting and page turning.
