I recently completed this on a suitably dark and stormy night, cloistered from the elements in a small wooden hut with screens for walls and candles for lighting. Even without such an atmospheric backdrop it will prove a most edifying read to fans of good writing, an original work reminiscent--but never derivative-of the best supernatural action/horror yarns. It has the feel of a classic monster movie, and even when horrors rise, victims fall, and violence is committed on the just and the unjust

There isn't much space for chapbooks and novellas in the publishing today. That's unfortunate because they're the perfect length to tell certain stories.
