I liked this book better than I did the first. It was more developed and had a better story and wasn't just about the sex. Believe me though, sex is a main component. If I had to describe this book I'd say it's like an erotic version of Indiana Jones, but there's more than one kind of cave exploration in this story. Wink wink. Great read. Two delightful heroes [Demitri the demi-god and Leon the Cajun shifter:] and a heroine [Val:] with a built in 'evil twin'. I'm giving this a 5 star strictly on the pure HOTNESS of it all!! Storyline could have been a bit stronger, or maybe it was and I just didn't notice because I was too busy skimming to find all the ooey-gooey goodness that was Leon and Demitiri. I enjoyed this book but it didn't grab me like the first one Mortal Temptations which I absolutely loved. From the first line - Demitri really knew how to screw - I knew this was going to be one erotic read! Demitri betrays Valenarian and spends the rest of the book making up for it. I felt like the first in the series was okay so I gave it's sequel here a shot. It was just sort of..... meh. I didn't really like any of the characters and therefore didn't care what they did after a few chapters. I've been looking for something good and steamy lately but my luck seems to be not for it.
