3-1/2 stars. Plenty of angst. Kept my interest throughout and there was a nice bit of vulnerability on the hero's part that was nice to read. The heroine was spunky but misguided but she did the best she could with the info she had. I do sometimes like stories where the heroine is physically weak as she was here.

I liked this one quite a bit -- maybe 4.5 stars' worth. Mountains of angst, which is always fun. I like a falling-apart heroine who is barely scraping by, too-thin, and fainty. :-) You had good hints that this hero was smitten the whole time, too. Only downside was that there wasn't a lot of action until the end. In fact there was some surprisingly frank descriptions of sex (or at least frank innuendo and the word "erection" used) given that there wasn't all that much in it. The mystic miniature ...more
