Missy Roper’s fantasies have revolved around Graham Winters since the moment they met. But the imposing leader of the Silverback werewolf clan always seemed oblivious to Missy’s existence. ^^BIG,BAD,AND SEXY!^^

Who is afraid of the big bad wolf that surely isn’t me; instead I want to be hunted and stalked then devoured by the wolf. How long I have been waiting for Missy and Graham’s story, a very long time, and I loved it. I always knew this book would have the funnies and hot sexual chemistry and Graham walking wolf of my dreams.

I know Miss Warren’s book aint nothing but fluff, but its cotton candy fluff, all sweet and sticky and no good for you. The writing order of the books is...more

This book was a lot of fun in the beginning. The style of it really reminded me of Shelly Laurenston. The plot was fluffy and the book's focus was firmly fixed on comedy and sex. Good times! But it didn't keep its lighthearted tone. Once the mate business stopped being a secret I felt it lost a lot of its humor.

Graham starts out this book as a player who has gotten bored with the game. While trying to deny that he has a problem he spots a butt designed to make a man fall to his knees and worshi...more

This is book two in The Others series and let me start by saying I haven't read book one and had no problem following the story line and I wasn't confused at all. This was a great book that I blew through. It was one of those books that I started then looked at the kindle percentage and was amazed that I had read so much and then couldn't believe I finished it so fast. Graham is the Alpha of the silverback werewolf pack and he doesn't want anything to do with humans till he see's Missy. Missy ha...more

This was my first Christine Warren and I won't be reading more. I actually found this book repulsive. The set up is cute: shy kindergarten teacher is dressed up sexy on a dare from friends who want to set her up on a blind date; she goes to the party and gets the attention of her secret crush, who is a slutty alpha werewolf who hasn't noticed her in the six months they've known of each other but is turned on by her now. I was ready to settle back and enjoy it when...wham, he kidnaps her, rapes h...more

I'm usually a sucker for "she was right under my nose the whole time" romances, but this was one that did not work for me. I was pretty excited about it when I picked it up, but the disappointments kept on coming. First I discovered Big Bad Wolf wasn't the first in The Others Series. Then I discovered that it wasn't the swoony werewolf romance I was hoping for. It started out pretty bad and kept getting worse.

In the beginning, we meet th...more

Good read - this is a rewrite of her original Fur Factor from the ebook series Fixed. There are some changes - mostly smoothing out the bumps in the plotting. She changed one scene considerably [to be truer to the character perhaps:] but I did enjoy the older version better. A quibble only, it is still a fun, fast read.

Graham is the Alpha of the Pack and is having political problems. When he finds his very unwolflike mate [meek and mild and human:] his problems are aggravated. Missy is a kinderg...more

This has got to be one of my favorite new ( new to me ) series. A customer recommended this to me the other day, and felt so passionate about this book and told me I had to give it a try. Well I bought yesterday and finished it this morning. It has everythin...a plot ( which is always nice) a romance ( amazing character development ) and crazy heat...it sizzles. Its about an Alpha wolf named Graham whos had more of his share of one night stands and pretty much knows he can get anyone he wants..ent...more

I liked "Big Bad Wolf" by Christine Warren. It wasn't until I got home and began the story that I realized this was an expanded version of "Fur Factor" which was originally published as an ebook by Ellora's Cave in 2003. I enjoyed the original and I was pleased to read the expanded version which is actually the second of the 'Fantasy Fix' miniseries.

Missy is the 'good' girl. She's a kindergarden teacher who likes children and dreams of the whole 'white picket fence' future. She's also about read...more

The story is nice even if predictable and the pages actually fly in front of our eyes (this one lasted 2 hours). The stages of structure are smooth, nothing is rushed and nothing takes too long to be explained. That does not mean that the worldbuild and characters are good as well. I believe that structure/plot was the greatest plus of this book.

The worldbuild is nothing special, even when you read other werewolves books, the rules are there a...more

Big Bad Wolf - Missy and Graham - the wait is over!

At long last Graham and Missy's story, yippee! This is the second of Warren's Fixed series to be spiffed up and re-released and unlike One Bite With A Stranger (The Others, Book 6) (originally Fantasy Fix), this is the first print release of Big Bag Wolf (Fur Factor redux and redone) I am not an e-book person, so I have been waiting for Graham and Missy's since I first read Wolf on the Door and got hooked on Warren's Other series.

I really enjo...more

This wasn't a romance or paranormal/fantasy novel. It was porn. The whole motivation behind EVERY plot detail was to get them back into having sex where the "hero" (a term I use loosely) would be beyond dominating with the sweet, innocent kindergarten teacher. Warning - the author apparently has limited time to develop characters so instead we'll repeatedly hear about the heroine as "a sweet kindergarten teacher"

I truly don't understand what anyone sees in this... but then again I am not a fan o...more

From the back of the book.....I really can't put it better than this other than to add, can I have a Graham too?

My Rating: 3 out of 5 Stars

Missy, a kindergarten teacher with self-esteem issues, has been set up on a "fantasy fix" by her best friends. Apparently, her friends think that shy and quiet Missy needs to "fix" her humdrum life by getting laid. Instead of going home with her intended date, however, Missy ends up with Graham, a womanizing werewolf and the alpha of his pack. What follows makes for a mostly fun, but problematic read.

I had to overlook a few things in order to enjoy the story more. I li...more

Why I read this book:
Sexy, alpha werewolf story, need I say more?

My one sentence summary:
Big Bad Wolf is about a sexy alpha werewolf who finds a human woman he can't resist while trying to retain his position as alpha.

Kuddos:
Sexy alpha werewolf. Hot and heavy attraction followed by hot and heavy sex. I liked how the main female character has to find away of being the alpha female without pissing off the other werewolves so much they want to make kibble out of her.

Quibbles:
Unfortunately, sexy alp...more

This novel got off to an interesting start, but it didn't do a good job of supporting my willing suspension of disbelief for a full 312 pages. The romance never quite gelled for me; I had trouble understanding why the heroine's scent was suddenly irrestible to a werewolf who, in theory, should have been smelling her for weeks. Maybe I missed something.

Though the hero was sexy, there were elements of his behavior that creeped me out--I won't spoil anyone else's reading experience with the detail...more

Big Bad Wolf is a paranormal romance set in the Others universe. Graham, bored Alpha, finds his mate in the form of Missy Roper, shy teacher. Complications ensue as Graham tries to persuade Missy that she is his mate while dealing with Curtis, a conniving cousin/rival.

What I Liked:

Graham - His utter confusion at attempting to explain the Lupine mate thing to a human was hilarious. I loved him comment about having to switch from "warp speed to wuss speed" in his attempts to woo Missy.

Was that necessary?

Seriously, I was enjoying this book quite a lot and then I read the worst ending ever.
I have read some crazy sh*t out there but never something like this. I get that you love the hero but did you have to had sex with him while he was a werewolf?
I would have believed that you loved him without that gross and icky scene! It was like doing it with a huge dog. What the author was thinking while she wrote that I have no idea, but I can't rate this book any higher after reading TH...more

Disappointing
This was a disappointing read for me because I adore a protective, possessive alpha male hero but our Big Bad Wolf was Alpha in name only. The heroine was allowed to be attacked and the hero did absolutely nothing to find and punish her attacker even though he's the packs alpha and the reason why she was attacked in the first place. But even worse, the hero risks the heroines life himself in a "matehunt" instead of dealing with the underhanded threats to his authority in a decisive...more

I enjoyed this book, dont get me wrong. however, I felt like the story-line was a little too vanilla honestly. I mean I was never worried about the couple or the heroine's well being after a certain point in the book...ahem...when someone's smell changed...and as much as I loved the big bad wolf and innocent red riding hood-I mean kindergarden teacher- I didn't think our heroine fell in line with Alpha material. For someone so insecure, it was hardly believable when the author had her buck up an...more

Impressed by the authors portrayal of Missy. Too often characters like Missy, sweet and innocent, get personality transplants halfway through a book leaving the readers head spinning. Missy was consistent in personality and actions. Graham was also a great leading man. Alpha in position and in nature, but never aggressive like other authors do often. Enjoyed the balance of the two characters.

The plot was an obvious re-write of a shorter story, but easy to ignore because the sex was hot and the...more

This is the story of Graham and Missy, the Werewolf Alpha pair. So in chronological order, it's the second book.

(view spoiler)[Even though Graham and Missy were Best Man and Maid of Honor in their best friends' wedding, Graham had never noticed Missy until she turned up in a barely-there dress to their friends' post-wedding party. All of a sudden, he's lusting after her and deciding that she's his fated Mate.

I find Missy sweet, but just a bit too accomodating. She gets talked into participating

This is by far my favorite! I think that the order of reading this series is a little skewed because the author is fitting some short stories in here and there, but in expanded novel form. I would read (6th book, but the first in the series) One Bite with a Stranger first, and this one second, then Wolf at the Door, following in order.
But, yeah, Missy and Graham are my favorite "Other" couple.
Missy is "fixed" up by Ava and the girls for her fantasy fix, at Reggie and Misha's post-wedding engage...more

If you like romance novels mixed with the paranorma then, The Big Bad Wolf is a good read for you. 27 year old Missy (Melissa) is a Kindergarten teacher and has been celibate for the last 6 years. She was in her best friend,Regina's wedding and during the rehearsals she met the best friend and best man of Regina's husband. Missy is shy and is secretly fawning for best man and werewolf, Graham. ALthough he is a playboy, he does not date humans and doesn't even know Missy exists until the night he...more

Smut, pure and simple. No real story, just sex. A werewolf immediately finds his "mate" in an average woman. It's a little annoying how much she claims she's not good enough and he can't really be in love with her because she's not good enough and he's so handsome and she's so not and wah wah wah. But they have a lot of sex. If that's what you're in the mood for reading, this is your book. However, if you're looking for a book with substance, go a different route. I like my fair share of smut, j...more

Absolutely love Graham and Missy... Still working on finding out how Logan left Beta... But cute book! Fast-paced, passionate, funny. Loved Missy standing up for her Luna position like she owned it when she didn't even want to (at first), lol. Loved Samantha and Annie. You don't really see any characters from previous books except for Ava and her menacing phone-calls and death threat answering machine messages for Missy, lol. It did start out at Regina and Dimitri's post-engagement party though...more

Just finished Big Bad Wolf (The Others Series) by Christine Warren (***1/2). This is generally one of my favorite PNR series and I was genuinely looking forward to this book as it's a prequel story of how Graham & Missy, an established couple in the other books, came to be.

Unfortunately, I found this novel to be literally half sex scenes that didn't really move the story forward. I would have loved it if there was less sex (and I RARELY say that!) and more involvement in the "politics" of t...more

I decided to read Christine Warren's Other series in the order she fashions them, versus publication order. Big Bad Wolf is her book 2 and it was a pretty enjoyable read. I am starting to have a few doubts about this seires. Nothing to do with the writing or characters, worldbuilding...or anything like that. It just seems not to be to my tastes as an Urban Fantasy reader. I've read a few paranormal romances. But even I am starting to doubt their PNR status, they seemed more like UF despite being...more

I liked this book and would have given it 4 out of 5 stars if it didn't creep me out (but more about that later).

Firstly I read other reviews in which readers said they didn't understand (or buy) Graham's love/like/lust for Missy after ignoring her for the first 6 weeks. I think the reason is explained. He knows his mate by her smell and up and until the party he never smelled her, only her perfume etc. This is a laid-back read and shouldn't be thought to death.

I think Graham is believable - he...more

Born and raised in coastal New England, Christine Warren lived in the South and the Mid-Atlantic before hopping to the other side of the country to take up the life of a transplant in the Pacific Northwest. She completely bypassed those states in the middle due to her landlocking phobia. Hmm, need to research a scientific term for that...
