This is a greatly simplified version of The Black Stallion based entirely on the movie. Some photos inadvertently show how the movie magic was done (someone forgot to die the white star on the thoroughbred subbing for the Black during the race scenes -- a thread-thin hackamore on Cass Ole (the main equine actor)). This is a lovely book and I wish I still had my copy.
