A great introduction to Mishima in the form of a short story collection. His voice comes through more clearly in novels, I think, than in essays and short stories, but this collection lets you know what you're getting into.

I enjoyed this much more than I expected to, given that, in general, I prefer novels to short stories. This is the first of Mishima's work that I've read, and I will definitely read more.

Mastery, complete mastery. I love this book. I worship this book. It's awesome. Don't ask me if you can "borrow it."
