MY REVIEW:

Spring Breakdown is the 7th in Melody Carlson's Carter House Girls series. To be honest, had I realized it was that far along in the series, I probably would have started with the first and worked my way up. The book did not make me feel like I did not know what was going on, but I would have preferred getting a clearer picture of the characters.

I always enjoy revisiting teen life via a good book. Reading about DJ and the other Carter House Girls adventures b More...

I have not read any of the Carter House Girls series, but this didn't affect how I read this book. I fell right into the plot and in with the characters. Enough description and characterization is given that it feels like picking up a book from the beginning of the series. Things are referenced during the book, but they are brought to enough life that you understand what is going on.

First and foremost the relationships and characters in this book are paramount. It's about t More...

YES! I read the 7th carter house girl book! i loved this one. All six carter house girls are on spring break...YA! But this could mean troubles while the girls are in Palm Beach Florida for a photo shoot. Like Eliza issues, boys boys boys, and of coarse the whole "u stole my boyfriend" thing. Will the carter house girls have a great spring break or will they have a "spring breakdown?"

I am glad my library finally got this book in. I think the Carter House girls series is getting more interesting as it moves towards the end. This book wasn't full of take home lessons, but I enjoyed the story and I'm looking forward to the next (and final?) installment.

It's interesting to see the dynamics between all the characters and what sort of trouble they will get themselves into next. Eventually things work out and the girls learn a lesson or two. I found myself liking certain characters because I saw more of their past and realized why they acted out. I enjoyed this series and would probably recommend.
