I really didn't enjoy it as much as I hoped I would (I actually had to force myself to keep on going after 70 pages) and I'm glad I didn't buy the next two books... I found the characters seriously lacking in depth: I felt no connection to either heroine or hero, and the whole plot with her fiancé seemed contrived...
***SPOILER ALERT***
The worst for me was when the heroine loses her virginity: they're on a hunt, the hero/heroine slip away to a cabin in the woods, and not...more

The Raybourne brothers are known as the Rakehells of Rochester for their wild ways and for seducing any women, married or not. Their reputation precedes them and when Sinjin, Victor and Rory are caught in a brothel by their mother, they are humiliated. Betsy Raybourne is beyond shocked and appalled by her sons. She gives them an ultimatum: each must find a bride before the summer is over or she will leave them with nothing. She will hold a house party where the three men can choose among a bevy ...more

I have to say that this one was a total surprise for me. The cheesy name/title and the cover were a tad off-putting, but I found this a breath of fresh air.
If you ever wander what those naughty rakes actually do in bedrooms, alcoves, guest rooms, brothels and gardens of the ton to deserve such wicked reputations, then this is the book for you. For me, this book felt like it filled the gaps (ooo-er-missus) that the other rake-themed books left behind. It's relatively explicit, but in a...more

WOW..... talk about sex on a stick sexiness....
Now, I LOVE my peranormal romances/erotica..... but nothing beats an erotic historical erotica which leaves you panting and NEEDING to read the next in the series.. I have been playing back and forth with reading this one and decided to just have at it tonight and Lordy Lordy...
Katelyn is acting as a chaperone at a party thrown by Sinjin's mom because she is trying to merry them off.. Sinjin is the oldest of the brothers yet all ...more

My first book by Julia Templeton and I enjoyed reading it. I read both this book and the third book, Rory, back to back.(Skipped over Victor) In both cases, I think the female character is really under-developed. It doesn't provide the same depth to the characters I am use to reading and the story line is predictable but it does have some very steamy sex scenes. Then again, it may simply be the writing style of Erotica Historical Romance.

Ok yes I read this and well, I actually enjoyed it. You have to kinda be willing to just try something if it is erotica. I just sounded interesting so, I gave it a shot. I actually liked the storyline to a point. I would not give it a five star since, well I've never read an erotic love story lol. I just wanted to be brave and try it.
This book was okay. I will probably read the two sequels, but I hope there is a bit more plot action. This one got exciting at the end, but before that it was a bit boring.
Well, I must say that I enjoyed this book. It was a easy hot historical, just what I needed. I look forward to the releases of the next two brothers books.
Not big on historical type books, but Templeton didn't dwell on it and instead gave a hot goodread!
Good story - a bit on the predictable side... light fluff
HAWT! Def not a PG-13 book.
Loved this book. Sinjin and his brothers are interesting and likable and the heroine is also likable and interesting. The plot is not the usual idiot rake who wants to take advantage of the helpless female but then falls in love with her. I really enjoyed the change of pace of actually having the man like and respect his love interest and want to be with her. I highly recommend this book!
Couldn't stop reading it....finished it in 6 hours!!!

I was born in Crescent City , California , a small logging town on the Pacific coast, home of enormous redwood trees and clear rivers. I have great memories of playing on stumps the size of small houses on my grandmother's acreage in a little town just north of Crescent City called Fort Dick . My sister and I would take daily walks to the main street store—an old, tiny white building that included...more
