The patterns are mostly traditional and pretty simple nothing new, but the quilts are gorgeous pure eye candy. Stunning vibrant quilts all photographed in beautiful European settings. I didn't buy this for the patterns just inspiration. With a nice selection of traditional patterns and clear easy to follow instructions I think this would make a great book for beginners.
