I really enjoyed this book. I found the author did a great job with the story and expanding the suspense/situation throughout without causing boredom. It would have been so easy to start and finish the Slatter problem and stick to the romance only but this was not the case. There is Jenny who seems to be a spoiled brat but really is not, her aunt who protected her to much and created her ignorance about like skills. This American frontier story set in 1874 had plenty of action that moved right along and I liked how the romance developed. Bounty hunter Rico learns that the villain who killed his mother has just kidnapped Jenny and sets out to her rescue.
