This book is a collection of testimonials from various people who knew or met Padre Pio. After awhile, they all started to sound alike but with different names. Doesn't give in depth knowledge about Padre Pio, seemed somewhat superficial.

This is a collection of first-hand accounts of Saint Pio of Pietrelcino who lived in Italy and died in 1968. Have you ever heard of him? I hadn't. What a fascinating man! I highly recommend this book, or any book on him. It'll change your life, and it just might save your soul.

What an amazing book!! Reading this book was one of the graces of my life. I consider Padre Pio to be my spiritual father and reading the testimonies and the unimaginable miracles not only developed my faith in him, it has strengthened my spiritual experience in knowing and loving Christ through one's sufferings. Padre Pio loved Christ through his sufferings. He was a man of great virtues. He was modest, pure, gentle, humble, submissive to his superiors, charitable. He imitated Christ in every w ...more

This book just blew me away! Padre Pio was a saint that died a few years before I was born. He worked at least a thousand miracles while he was alive, and at least a thousand more after he died. This book is a compilation of stories of people's encounters with him. It is more than amazing and hopefully this book will change my life (so far it has, just don't want to fall back to my old ways). I plan on buying this book and rereading.

Tis book is a life changer. Padre Pio's life must be the one I follow if I want to attain Heaven. His intimacy with Jesus and Mary make it clear that this is what I must seek through holiness and mercy. Please bless us all, St. Pio, and pray for us.

Very inspiring reality of a contemporary Saint. The first chapter was a bit heavy but the vast bulk of this book was moving and reviving. A large series of testimonies that I found best to read in Chapter a day.
