This is why I love this series:

He caught her, and he held her, and he let her cry, and cry, and cry, and he let her use his sheets to wipe her eyes, and her nose, and God knows what, because he had plenty of clean sheets, and he only had one Kat.

Now don't let the not-perfect rating confuse you. I love this series, and I’m turning into something of a crazy Steele Street fangirl. The reason I’m not giving the books five star ratings is that they’re a bit like th More...

My ode to Christian “aka Superman”.....

C-razy, cool, coconut oil obsessed Christian
H-awkins is a hottie bad boy hero who drives a
R-ockin’ muscle car named Roxanne and
I-wanna lick him up ‘cause he’s
S-ex on a stick and his
T-attoos drive me wild and
I-wanna trace them with my tongue, even
A-midst explosions, guns blazing, and bad guys chasing ‘cause there’s just
N-ever enough of Christian!!!!

Christian Hawkins was sentenced to life in prison for murder as a nineteen year old when he became involved with Katya Dekker, a senator's daughter. After being released because someone else confesses to the murder, Christian joins his old gang of car thief buddies as a special government agent. Years later, he and another agent are sent to provide security at an art auction where Christian sees Katya for the first time since he was arrested as a teenager. When an explosion occurs at the auc More...

Crazy Cool was another winner in the fabulous Steele Street series. I’m absolutely loving this entertaining and fun brand of romantic suspense, with its action, humour and sexy romance. I can see Tara Janzen’s Steele Street sitting comfortably alongside Pamela Clare’s I-Team and Suzanne Brockmann’s Troubleshooters as my favourite RS series.

Although not quite as action-packed as the first book Crazy Hot, Crazy Cool still had that wonderful Tara Janzen style, and shared the same ‘feel’ More...

Okay, I'm going to try to not gush.....this book was amazing. I loved it, loved it, loved it. I really don't know where to start. I'd like to say "JUST BUY IT AND READ IT FOR HEAVENS SAKE", but I'll try to give a few reasons why you should.

First off, this book is second in the "crazy" series. A series about a group of top notch special force operatives. All these men, (and "woman", I won't spoil it with any more info) are just larger than life, sexy, br More...

This was a mess. In some places a very enjoyable mess, but there were at least three stories going on and one of them eclipsed all the others, including the main romance. Christian deserved better.

As I mentioned in one of my status updates, there was a lot of padding. Christian and Kat rehashed their teenage melodrama over and over and over. I skimmed a lot of their scenes.

About halfway through the book, Travis the Wonder Stud (as Kid Chaos calls him) suddenly becomes a m More...

Pure popcorn reading. Janzen is funny and writes a great alpha hero, and her sex scenes are steamy. I love that beautiful bombshell Katya is a total slob.

But it could have been a little more than that. Example: Katya's mother Marilyn is a monstrous character, but we never get to see that resolved. There is a lot of build up about her horrible past behaviour in the first two thirds of the book, but Katya and Christian never confront her about it. There's a lot of B plot going on More...

Crazy fun! Janzen's writing style is very different from most R/S I have read. She let's the reader into the characters heads. We hear their thoughts both random and otherwise as well as their words. This makes for some hilarious moments but also for some redundancy (which is very realistic - how often do we notice that hot guys gorgeous lips for instance - that's natural. Reading it every time can get, well, redundant!) It does add a measure of depth, however that one usually doesn't get when r More...

I just finished this book and I am still grinning like a fool. I am not a fan of contemporary books normally, but Janzen has slipped beneath my guard and is making a liar out of me. Obviously I can't say that I dislike contemporaries anymore because I just love this series! It is so sexy and so fast paced and just so fun that I can't resist it.

When you open this book you will be in for a wild ride. Once the action (and the attraction) starts it just won't stop. More...

I really disliked this book. It had a great premise, but totally failed to deliver. Christian Hawkins was once framed for a murder he didn't commit, sent to prison for it, and heroine Kat Dekker could have helped him, but she stayed mum. You'd think he'd be pretty bitter against her once he got out of prison, right? Wrong. Thirteen years later he's pathetically in love with her. He has NO backbone. Surprisingly, the gorgeous, tiny, blond, beautiful Kat Dekker isn't even unlikable. It's t More...

I really liked Janzen's first book about Steele Street so I was thrilled when I found the second in the series. This book started right up with rich, edgy drama that takes us back 13 years before when Christian Hawkins was framed for a murder he didn't commit. Kat Dekker was the girl he saved and never expected to see her again. That was until he was called to an operative to protect her. Skeeter, my favorite Steele Street character, was her usual edgy, awesome self. All this and a whole bu More...

Christian Hawkins was one very WICKED Superman! I loved that he was portrayed as a mean killing machine getting into all sorts of trouble but at the same time being a typical male. Typical, being that SEX was all he'd been thinking about. And I mean very naughty and filthy sexy thoughts.

The one scene that only Hawkins the Superman could pull off was the double-dark-chocolate with triple-whipped cream mocha latte incident which took place in his car. The pages were on fire. It was THAT More...

While chatting with a friend we have come to the conclusion this series is fluff, and I mean that in the best way. Sometimes you just need a book that is not serious, has a hot romance with an even hotter guy, bonus points that he is a reformed bad boy, cool cars, and just plain fun to read, and that is these books to a T.

Christian and Katya have a past, one that was super hot when they were teens, but was torn apart. It seems in the 13 years they have been apart anyone one they da More...

After reading the first one in the Steele Street series I was jumping right into Crazy Cool, because I wanted, no, I needed, to know about this man they called Superman. What sort of woman was going to unhinge this guy who was so deep undercover it was hard to tell whether or not he was still working for the good guys.
Well, hard to tell unless you're SDF, Special Defense Force, down at Steele Street with the rest of the former chop shop boys and their crew. Christian is the guy who you're More...

The next installment in the Steele Street series. Still sexy and dangerous…

This time around, Hawkins finds himself face to face with Lady Luck, Lady Bad Luck. She’s the reason he was found guilty of murder 13 years ago. And somehow, she must be the reason he was pulled out of Columbia to keep an eye on a Garden Party, because there was an explosion and a murder there. And now, he has to protect the Prom Queen all over again. But this time, he knows better. Or not… The question is, ho More...

By now it's obvious you have to open these books with low expectations.
If you do that, you'll enjoy this books or else you'll be really disappoint.

Coz even though there's lacking in the action departement and the
love stories are often the same, you end up wanting to read the next
ones coz the author find a way to make you like the characters. It's been said before, but the secondary characters are always better than
the main characters.

I love this series! I've peaked ahead to see who the next books are about and I'm super excited to read Dylan's book!

I was a little disappointed that Quinn and Reagan had almost no part, and judging by the end of this one Christian and Kat will have little part in future books. But the fun you have while reading more than makes up for it.

I do have to say though, that I'd much rather ride in Jeanette than Roxanne. Camaro's are WAY cooler!

This is the second book I've read of Janzen's and I once again thought to myself "why'd I wait so long" I just love these books. I think it has to do with the characters. She's done a great job in making you want to know more about them. She also writes a good suspense story too. It was cute how Howkins thought of her as "bad Luck Dekker" and yet couldn't keep his hands off her. These two together makes you laugh.

Gotta love sexy alphas with the power of the government behind them! This is shaping up to be a fun and steamy series, and I'm getting to know all the guys a bit more so I can't wait to see more of them in future books.

I didn't feel like things with Katya's mother were ever really resolved. There's this huge build-up of what a horrible person/mother she is, then the end of the book comes and...nothing. Total letdown. Where was the Christian / Darth Vader in Chanel showdown?! < More...

Love the introduction to the boys of Steele street and of course superman. Hawkins is one of the characters through out this series that I keep wanting updates on just to know how he is doing. Tara Janzen has filled this series with humor, action, sex and one of the hottest characters ever created: Hawkins and that tattoo!

Just like the first book of the series the second one has a good story but is poorly written. The author loses herself in long monologues, that lead nowhere disrupting the books fluency. At one point I got so bored I was jumping whole paragraphes, because they were repeating what was said not two pages back.

Superman is, hands down, my all time favorite character ever written, and considering I go through about a book a day, that's saying something! He was my introduction into Steele Street, and I've read and reread his story so many times I actually had to buy a new copy after my first one fell apart...lol.

I really like this "world" and getting to know the characters in it. This book gives us a glimpses into more of the supporting cast (from whom future stories will be written) and focuses on Christian Hawkins aka Superman. These books are easy to read, HOT and fun. Some of the key plot points in this book were just a little too fantastical compared to the first book. I mean it is all fiction but some things just struck me oddly. I really enjoyed this book. I pretty much devoured it. I enjoyed the mystery plus the two love stories. I also got into the backstory of Superman and Kid going to South American to get JT. I really was fascinated by the lead characters. I felt they were developed really well and that you as a reader felt connected to them in some way. Fun, sexy and cool. Hot, fast and delicious.
If you pick up a Tara Janzen novel, you will be entertained, that's for sure. You will also begin to hate the word "geezus".
Christian (Cristo, Superman) Hawkins, was smokin'. I think I fell in love with him too.
I even liked Bad Luck Dekker. I didn't like her mom, and didn't like the ending at all, but aside from that, I really enjoyed reading this high octane novel.

UNPUTDOWNABLE! And just as 'hot' as the first novel. Again, Janzen grabs you by the throat and doesn't let go! Filled to the gills with action, adventure, romance, and totally wicked muscle cars! Christian's is my all-time fave: a 1971 Dodge Challenger R/T with a high-performance 383 under the hood (my parents own a 1973 Dodge Challenger R/T with a high-performance 383 under the hood!) Christian Hawkins is the perfect man. I re-read the book after reading the first sixth books of the series. I suspect Hawkins is the ultimate fantasy of Tara Janzen. He's a great character and that's reason enough to read and appreciate the book.

We get a glimpse of Dylan Hart at the beginning of the book. You will learn in the next book why he doesn't spend much time in Steele Street.

There’s a lot of relationships going on in this book.

I don’t like second chance romances. They are usually done very poorly with both parties bringing a lot of unresolved issues and misunderstandings and deceit.

I just love a drunk heroine. There is something so hilarious about a usually sensible woman who is stoned that cracks me up.

Hawkins is more likeable that Katya. I liked his steady sarcasm and droll humour. It was funny that he was into cleanliness and Katy More...
