I choosed this book because i could relate to it and me and my uncle race sprint cars sometimes in Minisota but mostly in Wisconsin. The main charactor trace wasnt happy when he found out he cant drive his street stock anymore he is only allowed to race team blus car. The problem was when he first raced team blus car at headwaters speedway he finished 2nd in the feature and gerry harkaness demanded a engine check on traces car to make sure its an legal engine but when they found out it was a leg...more

This motor novel was a very interesting non-fiction book! When I started the book I couldn't put it down because at the end of every chapter there was a clif hanger so I had to keep reading on. This book was so good I finished it in 1 day! My favorite part of this book was when Trace one his first super stock race and started getting into it and was being unstopable. When his crew team got him banned from his home track that part was sad because he couldn't see the girl he liked anymore besides...more

SUPER STOCK ROOKIE is another fast-paced racing story by Will Weaver. This is the second in his MOTOR NOVEL series and is sure to grab the attention of reluctant teen readers - even if they aren't particularly racing fans.

Trace Bonham has been racing Street Stock for years on small town tracks throughout the northern Midwest. Now, it's possible that he might get a chance to race a new, top-of-the-line Super Stock car. All he has to...more

I liked this book because I look racing. This book is a about a teen ager that is in high school, but he takes all of his classes on line so that he can travel across the United states to race a few times a week. Trace Bonham started off racing his dads chevey street stock. But one day trace and his dad found out about a team that is doing try outs for a new driver. Trace and his dad go to the try outs and he makes, Trace becomes the new driver for team blu racing. Trace now has a couple of new...more

I really like this it is interesting about his race life. The main character is Tracey. What made me read this kind of book is that my uncle he races late model and he won the national points and got a lot of money. The part I like in the book is he gets takes a test drives in a new car and he really like and explains it and that is what I like. The part I didn’t like is he doesn’t like a person and that person takes good things from him that can get him better.

Things that happen in the story...more

Success sometimes brings its own challenges, as Trace Bonham finds out when he wins the super stock tryouts at Rivers Speedway in Grand Forks, N.D., picks up a corporate sponsor and becomes a well-paid super stock driver. Throughout the reading Super Stock Rookie by Will Weaver I found that the book was hard to put down sometimes because it was too good. This book is about the main character, Trace Bonham, who went from racing his street stock to racing a super stock for a professional racing te...more
This book is about a guy who makes it on the racing team, team Blue. The girl he likes finds out and she starts to like him but gets mad that he is leaving. At first he really doesn't like his team. At the end he starts to like them. Then they start winning a bunch of races. I gave it 4 stars because its a good book but I dont like some charecters.
This book was awesome -- the racing details were right on the money (and exciting to read)! Weaver introduces more sources of tension into the plot that will probably set up the next book(s) without leaving the reader feeling like there are too many loose ends in this one.
I gave this book 5 stars because to me it was amazing. It's all

I grew up on a small dairy farm in Minnesota. Had no idea I'd become a writer one day, but I enjoyed history and English classes in high school–along with lots of outdoor and team sports. Too skinny for football, good at basketball, great glove at third base but couldn't hit a curveball to save my life.

Off to college at Saint Cloud State University (Minnesota), and then the University in Minneapo...more
