Paul Gleason received his Ph.D. in English from the University of Texas, where he worked as managing editor of the D.H. Lawrence Review. He has published essays on major modernist and postmodernist writers, including Beckett, DeLillo, Eliot, Joyce, Lawrence, McElroy, Nabokov, and Vollmann. Understanding T.C. Boyle is his first book.
