I liked this one much better than the previous three. I still don't have much affinity for the crew, except for maybe the doctor, but the plots were more entertaining (even if the solutions were cheesy/contrived at times).

'No Surrender' - The DaVinci is dispatched to fix an orbital prison station, which happens to house an old friend of Captain Gold.

'Caveat Emptor' - The DaVinci stumbles across a Ferengi in a lifepod.

The Da Vinci goes to the rescue of a prison station that is going to crash into a planet. Only problem is one of Captain Gold's old friends is on it along with his goddaughter. You learn a bit more about Gold in this story, and that is welcome. A good read.

An okay entry in the SCE/COE series. Nothing really outstanding, as many of the others were. This does give us a bit more background on Captain Gold, so it's worth a read for the Trek fan.
