I had a hard time getting into this book so I did not finish reading. The cover shows a handsome black man but all the characters in the first few chapters are described as though they are caucasian with the ecxeption of the one guy described as mixed. Not a problem, but I was expecting this to be a book about african american characters.

I read this in one afternoon. I liked the format of a "suicide novel", reflecting on her life as she's descending to the pavement. However, I didn't find Adrian a very likeable character, even if she had a completely messed up life. It's too bad she and Anthem didn't have real time together in the early days. Perhaps things would have turned out differently.

I loved it.I read it in 2 days. It took you through twist and turns, ups and downs...it kept me involved and intune. I stilled was able to guess a few parts...but it did catch me off guard at times also. The whole story of her life told in a few seconds! It was great! Kudos!

I've read all 4 of her books. This was pretty good. Her books always have some weird and dysfunctional family thing going on. I'd recommend this one, but definitely read her others. They always leave me with a strange feeling...
