I was really interested to see what the new characters would be like. After getting to know her, I enjoyed reading about Dovepaw because of her kind and strong-willed attitude. It was also a change to be able to read from the perspectives of Jayfeather and Lionblaze, considering that when a new series start in the Warriors series, the authors usually change characters and write from their perspective. In a way, I was kind of glad because I really like Lionblaze and Jayfeather and their story was...more

I am such a dork, lol BUT I LOVE THESE BOOKS!!!! I read them over the past two years probably and I always found them to be great!!!! Cats that talk...ya I know sounds stupid but I love cats well actually animals in general so these books are great for me! Erin Hunter does a great job spinning tales of the lives of the 4 clans of cats. I couldn't pick a favorite in the series and be set on it, but if I had to it would be the first one Into The Wild, because in my eyes that is what started the wh...more

I thought this book changed the my thinking in the warriors series because of the change in plot. After the last series of Warriors (The Power of Three) i stopped reading them and forgot a lot about the previous plots and cats. When i started reading the series again this book refreshed my memory on the warriors so i would say this is a really good recap if you stopped reading warriors for a while. I also thought this was a really good book with many changes in what you think of...more

Jayfeather and Lionblaze still don't know who the third cat is supposed to be. It's either Ivypaw or Dovepaw...you don't know which until a few chapters into it.
Meanwhile, the lake has dried up, RiverClan is accusing the other Clans of stealing prey, and the third cat (who will remain nameless) knows that something is upstream, blocking the water flow.
All four Clans send cats on a mission to find the water and save the Clans (this whole "saving the Clans" thing happens a lo...more

I think this is a great book just as great as the rests in the series. As the journey continues to find the 3rd cat in the prophecy Lionblaze and Jayfeather think they've finally found the one. As the clans suffer a terrible drought, Dovepaw tells her clan she thinks brown animals are blocking the river(beavers) and the whole clan thinks she is going crazy cause they've never heard or seen animals like that. But Lionblaze and Jayfeather noticed something. They noticed Doverpaw can see and sense ...more

This book is the continuation to the previous series, the Power of Three. In this book, we see once again Jayfeather and Lionblaze, but with the addition of Dovepaw and Ivypaw. Dovepaw and Ivypaw are both Firestar's kin, but only one of them is the prophecy cat, the one with powers stronger than their ancestors in Starclan. And that cat is Dovepaw. Lionblaze and Jayfeather find out it is her when she discovers the cause of the drought in their forest. She can see things beyond what others can se...more

A fun and entertaining read. This is the first of the Warriors' novels I have read. I picked this up from the library to give me some background before reading the novel I won through Goodreads.

The character of each cat is well-defined, making them easy to follow. I was glad for that after noting how many cats were listed in each clan. At first glance, it looked as though the novel could be difficult to follow without having read all the other Warriors' novels. Not only were the cat-ch...more

Oh wow, it's been a while since I read Warriors. Addicting as always, clans are way better than our government systems. A fun quick read, just finished it five minutes ago. I am now interested in another Warrior prophecy, where do Erin Hunter come up with these stuff? My friend just finished this today at 4:08PM and handed it to me right after. Thank you, Heather! She was really spooked out by something and sort of told me it as soon as she read it and insisted I should read it. Whoa is all I ca...more

This book is awesome. Continueing on the warriors series is the decendents of their clan leader, Firestar. Hollypaw was thought to be one of the three cats to fulfill a prophesy. While hollypaw dies the other two cats, Jayfeather and lionblaze wonder who is the third cat of the prophesy. When Dovekit and Ivykit-kin of the great firestar- become a full apprentice, Lionblaze and Jayfeather realized that Dovekit possess a special ability that catchs the attention of the two cats. Overall Erin Hunte...more

Sometimes it's hard to feel bad for a selfish cat. Like in all throughout The New Prophecy series, when Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw acted stupid, and didn't try to be mature and forgive each other for their petty disputes. And Jayfeather acts irritated almost ALL THE TIME throughout The Power of Three series. It was VERY refreshing when in this book, Dovepaw is concerned about others, is eager to learn, and is kind and tries to do her best to be a good apprentice, or at least, as good an appr...more

So, it took me a while to read this, but that's because I've been very busy with other things recently, nothing to do with the book. I really liked the book. It's not the best Warriors book, but I like the idea of a drought and cats having to find out what's blocking the water in the lake. It's very interesting to read about.

I also loved how there was a journey but it didn't go into multiple books. It shows how the Erin's are taking on what people have said and not making the journeys d...more

I thought this book was awsome. It changed my view on a lot of things and made me wonder if maybe there are people in this world that have abnormal powers like Lionfur, Jayfeather and Dovepaw (sorry if i messed up the names). It actually has inspired some art for me like I made a charecter named Moonpaw I rolplay with on Kugyay. Back to the book, it's a good read for adventure and excitment and really inspired me. I've already read the second book for this series and I'm dieing waiting for the ...more

The four clans were peaceful until now that the lake is dried up and the cats start to go hungry and thirsty, they thought it was because of the heat. But when a apprentice named Dovepaw suddenly hears something that no other cat can hear she changes everything. When her mentor, Lionblaze tells her a shocking secret that she can't believe. When eight cats go on a journey to see whats blocking the main stream from flowing into the lake, they find something that no oher cats seen. I think this is ...more

I thought that it was really nice that the clan cats would die just trying to get water for the clans, as the warrior code says, you have to fight for your clan till death. A warrior clan cat has died on the mission to find water when they were fighting the beavers. Sometimes, warrior cats get too determined, time would be wasted and lives would be lost, but in the end, they asked a loner and three "kittypets" for help. In the end, they knew that they had no chance against the beavers,...more

If you haven't read the part of this series called Power of Three, don't read this review

"After the sharp-eyed jay and the roaring lion peace will come..." This is the prophecy that will come to a new apprentice in a dream, either Ivykit or Dovekit, soon to become Ivypaw and Dovepaw. In the previous part of this series, The Power of Three, Jaypaw (later to become Jayfeather) had a dream where Firestar, the leader of the Thunderclan was told, "There will be...more

Do you like thrilling, suspenseful books? Well if you do then Omen of the Stars is the book for you. It’s one of my favorite books! I’d give it 10 out of 10. This book is an amazing fantasy and a great read if you like action, excitement and cats. I would recommend this to kids 13 and under. It’s really something!

It all started when Lionblaze and Jayfeather try to find the third cat to fulfill the prophecy after the tragic loss of their sister Hollyleaf. After experiencing Dovepaw’...more

I love this book I even have it! Its is another good book by erin Hunter. This is about a young apprentice who turns out to be the chosen one. In this book its will help you refresh your memory about how the clan works and what is to be expected. You get this from a newly born aapprentice unlike the last several books Erin Hunter wrote they were all focusing on adult warrior cat now see how its like after all the hard training right through the apprentice's mind.

If you're one of those people who read part of the Warriors series and then stopped because New Prophecy/Power of Three wasn't as good as Original Series, trust me this book is Awesome with a capital A. The stakes are higher, old enemies return, silly apprentices are now (sort of) seasoned warriors, and predictions can now be made! What will the not-chosen apprentice grow up to think? When will the Three's powers get to the obvious point? And has StarClan been planning all this since the time of...more

There is a drought. The streams have dried up and the lake has shrunk. All the cats wonder where the water has gone, but Dovepaw knows that the water is being blocked by all the sticks the big, brown animals put in the water. No other cat can hear or see them because they aren't even in their forest.

Reasons I like this book-

Reason 1- I could imagine what was happening.

Reason 2- I was easily attached to the book and kept reading.

Reason 3- The book i...more
