The Path of Razors by Chris Marie Green
Urban Fantasy- Aug 4, 2009
4 stars

The Path of Razors is an engrossing Urban Fantasy from the extremely creative mind of Chris Marie Green. Her books are a real treat that are not to be missed! For those who have not read her works, this is the 5th in her Vampire Babylon series. The first three are a trilogy within the series that has a storyline which is resolved by the third book. Because the Path of Razors is the second book in the ‘second trilogy’ (sta

For those who’ve not yet read any of the Vampire Babylon Series by Chris Marie Green, “The Path of Razors” is the 5th in the series and the 2nd installment within the second story arc. Books 1-3 are a trilogy within the series and have a story line that is resolved in the 3rd book, “Break of Dawn”. While it is not necessary to read the first trilogy in order to understand the storyline within the second arc, readers will find much background information and a much better “preparedness” for this ...more

The Path of Razors is the fifth book in the Vampire Babylon series, and the second installment in the London Underground trilogy.

Dawn Madison is on a quest to infiltrate and destroy another Vampire Underground. Her one moment as a vampire in the previous book, A DROP OF RED, has left her with a new mind ability. She can control things and people with her mind, and she struggles to control the new power. Meanwhile, her boss Costin, and newly turned vampire, compliments of Dawn, is having a hard t
By the time I finished this one Dawn Madison had demonstrated that she possesses not only the willpower of a superhero but at least one of their super powers also. As the series has progressed Dawn has found that she is able to control things to an extent with her mind, a form of telekinetic manipulation that allows her to use rage as a channel to access the power and bust open doors as well as other things.

However in The Path of Razors she finds her mind powers stronger than ever and herself in

I read the previously 4 books in this series... it was good, I mean it was a cool series is just not what I like... I don't like Jonah's/Costin's character, not even one bit; he is just so.. I don't know, like selfish you know? I mean it's really cool that he wants not to be a vampire but then he goes and takes bodies from other people... and then acts all weird because she had to vamp him so he could go on in his mighty crusade, It's like he is the most vamp of all the vamps! Plus she is all in ...more

Just a quick review to catch up on a busy week.

The Queenshill girls are hiding out in London after Dawn and her friends discovered their mini-Underground. A new custode had plans of her own for the girls. And so do the girls for themselves. Between the two some interesting things happen

Meanwhile, Jonah and Costin are battling it out for control of the body. Eva loses it and disappears.
Dawn is emotionally depressed, but sees some great fighting action, especially at the end. And the scene is se

This series is vampire UF.

The series is about stuntwoman - turned vampire hunter, Dawn Madison. Dawn joins a mis-fit crew of vampire hunters seeking to destroy the vampire "undergrounds" around the world. The first three books take place in Hollywood, with the next three in London. Toss in a good background story, a complicated sexual relationship, and you've got an entertaining an pretty unique vampire series!

I loved the first three books of this series (which is sorta its own trilogy) but fo

Maybe I would give it a 3.5. I wasn't that impressed with this one. I had a hard time getting into the story this time. A lot of information came out, which was neat, but for some reason, I still felt like the book was missing something. Maybe it's the way the characters have changed. I don't know if I like what has happened to the characters. The next installment won't be out until Mar. 2010, so I have a while to wait. I'll read the next one because it will wrap up this arc, and then I'll decid ...more

Ok after some back track, the book before this.

Chris is back on track. Running full steam ahead here.
Twists, turns, changes of allegiances among the enemy.

As before, she keeps your curiosity and interest peeked.

On to the final book, this story arc.

I enjoyed the series much more with Matt Lonigan. He helped to balance Dawn out in a way that Jonah could not.
