A good overview of German history. One could say a bit outdated (having been published in 1990) but this also gives it a unique perspective. They are writing as they go through what is now history to us. We can see the end while they are still in the tunnel. Overall, a nice intro to German history. They spend more time and detail in the 20th century than the centuries preceding.
