I love chocolates because each one can be a surprise — you have to taste them all to find out what’s inside!

Originally written in Italian and published in Italy, it is clear that the narrator of this gentle story loves chocolate. I mean, LOVES chocolate. There is some serious lust for chocolate here. (And who could blame him? I mean. really.)

The writing is poetic and well composed. The art is pleasant and neutral with a lot of browns to reinforce the main subject. The More...

It's hard for me to slang a book about <sigh> chocolate, but there are some good points and some bad points here:

The Good:
1)It's about one of the 4 basic food groups
(Well for some of us, it is!)
2)It's got a boy chocoholic instead of a girl--nice to see it's not just a "girl thing"

The Bad:
1)Ugly, ugly art. And all those very visible white teeth are hard to believe in a town with everyone munching chocolate.
2)The uses of More...

Ok so since I gave up candy in all forms two weeks ago tonight this was not the best book to read. But it is cute and talks about chocolate so all is good. I loved the illustrations and you can tell they had fun putting this book together. Ages 4+

M's favorite snacky pleasure is chocolate. this was a cute book ,but could have had more of a sing song or rhyme to it. other than that, the pics were cute too.

This title is absolutely YUMMY!! For every person out there who loves chocolate, you must read this short and "sweet" book. It explains that chocolate is so much more than just a piece of candy. Chocolate cheers you up and is fun to share. What's not to love about it? Thankfully the author points out that their is a hard part about loving chocolate...making sure you don't eat too much of it.
