Where's the happy ending Morgan so very much deserves?
We have plenty of time to cry about that in the hundred pages that follow in which nothing happens. We NEED to deal with his death but the passage of time that's passed means that it's not being addressed.

Night's Child by Cate Tiernan is considered a "Super Edition" to the Sweep Series. For me this book needed to be written. It summed up things that were left a little too open at the end of Full Circle. In the book we are taken into the future (20 years) and introduced to Morgan's daughter, Moira. I'll state it up front: this book was disappointing. I'm not arguing the whole "Hunter dies in the beginning" point. I actually thought that made for an interesting plot element. Tiernan had started setting something to this extent up in the previous book by mentioning Colm & that ending his job as a Seeker meant that Hunter would be unguarded. Overall I think that Cate has done a brilliant job with these books, I have just finished reading the entire collection and I'm very impressed with the amount of research and fact what has been poured into this book. It is a very fast paced plot with lots of action and the emphasise is always on the smaller details, however I feel like I know Morgan, but Morgan alone. I'm giving this 5 stars because of the whole series, not just this particular book. I originally got the first couple in the series because I was trying to find something to interest my 13 yr old daughter. She didn't read them, but I got sucked in. I read all 15 books in about 5 weeks.

This was one of my most favourite series. After finishing this book today I feel depressed that the story has finally come to end after 15 books. This reminds me alot of my feelings after Harry Potter finished up. And to think I wasn't going to read these books because I thought the idea sounded silly!

Frankly, I knew after the first few chapters of Book 1 that this series wasn't going to hold my interest but I liked the characters enough that I wanted to see how it turned out for them and I didn't want to waste a completed series. The twists and turns were rather far-fetched and it all just seemed, well, juvenile. What really turned me off, however, and my teen daughter was well, was the continual goddess worship references and long spells which added nothing to the development of the plot.

This is one of my favourite series! And one of the first paranormal one I read. And God, did I love it!!! But I didn't really enjoy the 15th book. First off, the obvious reason: Hunter died ! i read all of these book in one summer and i fell in love. My friends and parents thought i was crazy cause i was spending most of my time reading these. But they were awesome and the stroies were well put together. i loved most of all was the way Morgan and hunter meet and later on falll in love.
The worst (well not worst but saddest) part was in nights child they lose eachother.

Night's Child is the final book in the Sweep series. I was a little worried since this one jumps ahead 20 years when Morgan has a 15 yr old daughter,Moira Byrne. Moira discovers some painful truths about her family that shakes everything she has believed to its core. This one is action packed and ties up many of the loose ends. I was pleased with how this wrapped up the series.

After reading 14 books I have to say I was very excited to discover there was a 15th. This book pulls the entire story together for an exciting close. If you are at all into witches this is a great series. The best books are the ones that make you feel like your there with the characters or really wish it were true. I love a good fiction.

very good, thought i will admit that i have mixed feelings about the whole book. I felt like Morgan should have been honest with her daughter from the beginning, telling her about Hunter and her ordeals with Selene and others, but i also thinkg that the mother-in-law and her husband should have been honest with Morgan from the start and never hide it. but it was very goo, despite all of the problem in there. I am looking forward to reading more from Cate Tiernan.

I really liked this series but after 15 books I don't know what I'll do not knowing what they are doing on a daily basis anymore :) It was a nice easy read...also learned a lot about Wicca I didn't know. Very nice and sometimes scary love story and finding out you are stronger then you think. A really good read!

It took me forever to finish this one...I didn't really like it a first, so I skipped this book read like 5 other ones than actually finished it during a free period I had during school. I liked the ending Hunter and Morgan are reunited and with Moira they are a happy family; how cheesy does that sound? Exactly.

Great continuation in the series. The story picks up with Morgan's daughter Moira. Old enemies and friends pick up where the series left off years ago. Moira isn't familiar with her mother's past, but just when you think its all rainbows and unicorns, Moira and Morgan might have defeat evil one again.

It is 20 years after the initial Sweep series. Morgan now lives in Ireland with her daughter Moira, who is 15. When truths about who Moira is start coming out, Morgan begins to tell her dauther her story. Good ending to the series.

I felt like this book was written in a rush. Too many things happen in the whole book and although it was a great finish of the series sometimes it go confussing. This is also the most sentimental (in my opinion) book of the whole series.

This last book in the series got off to a slow start for me. However, it soon picked up and turned out to be a great finish to the series. When the story starts, Morgan is a grown woman with a 15 year old daughter. They are living a peaceful existence in Ireland. Have really enjoyed this series and I would recommended it to anyone who love witches. Cate Tiernan has done a wonderful job of showing the true love of the Wiccan world...Great Job!!!
