Over the years there have been many interpretations of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. This catalog of an art exhibition at the California College of Arts Wattis Institute for Contemporary Arts features modern artists who portray the book's themes of going on a journey and longing for home. The two essays included in the catalog give some insight into Baum and his work. The descriptions of the artworks give more detailed information on the art and how it relates to the book.
