Christian hasn't seen Jonah since the police dragged the older boy away from their foster home fifteen years ago. Now Marisol, their foster mother, has passed away, and Jonah has returned to pay his respects. Spending time in juvenile detention helped straighten Jonah out, but he never learned how to connect emotionally to anyone. The two men are drawn together in order to carry out Marisol's last wish. Christian must overcome his grief and Jonah must deal with his insecurities if the two ar

It was more a 3.5 star than 4 but rounded it up because I'm a sucker for a sweet story. The premise of this story was a wonderful idea. The characters were vivid. The drawback was that everything seemed too easy which lead to a believability issue. Now don't get me wrong I really don't usually mind my romance having "reality" issues but this story seems more a "real" story than not. It really called for more reality than there seemed to be. I believe it is a solid story

I am having trouble writing this review. When I think about the plot either as a whole or in parts I feel it ought to work and be a fantastic read, but somehow it misses.
It is a bad-boy made good/boy who never went bad despite his background/stalker combo.
I shouldn't think Cameron could ever repeat the success of Renecade. I think the problem with it is that there is plenty of opportunity for plot development but it is not taken, so we just race through the development/ More...

First of all, loved the cover. I really like it when attention to that particular detail is taken. I will buy a book on the strength of a good cover.
I also liked the premise of the book when I first read it, it attracted me to take a read. I haven't read any of Ms Dane's books until now and I'm glad I did because it was a sweet, sexy read.

Absolutely loved this book. It was heartwarming, compelling and the characters are nuanced and honest-to-goodness lovable. With Jonah and Christian, I felt the author corrected many of the issues that bugged me with some of her other books. There was more 'showing' and less 'telling'; conversations were more evenly paced and didn't feel like info dump; sex scenes were not flowery and laced with corny declarations, and the men were very MALE even though they were loving. I cheered for Jonah and C

I had to read this, mainly because no one who reviewed it seemed to find the slightest issue with past foster brothers ending up lovers. Obviously they weren't related by blood, but still... it's like meeting a new boyfriend at a family reunion. It just shouldn't be done. Even if it is your great aunt's step daughter's youngest son who is technically not related to you at all. I wanted to see if the book addressed that issue at all, and somehow convinced the reader that the typical boundaries di

OMG! I happened upon this book by chance searching Loose Id's site and wow am I glad. This book was engaging and emotional from the first page. I loved Jonah's vulnerability and the way he just couldn't make eye contact with Christian. His big body wanted Christian so bad, but he feared his past would brand him as a worthless thug. The scene where they went to where he grew up. I cried. It was so sweet and heart-breaking. Christian is confident and always able to get Jonah to delve deeper and sa

Jonah and Christian were foster brothers 15 years ago. They shared a room and Christian developed a strong crush on the older boy. After making a juvenile mistake, Jonah is arrested and sent to JD (Juvenile Detention) and Christian never hears from him again.
15 years later, their foster mother passes away with a request that the boys come home and help sell her house so she can donate the proceeds to her favorite charities. Hoping to get as much money from the house that they can More...

Three and three-quarter stars. I'm in two minds about this book. On one hand I loved the premise, but...for me the emotional connection wasn't as fulfilled as I would have wanted. I don't think it helped that I read an Amazon review that described this book as like JB MacDonald's By Degrees. It's not. Yes, one of the characters - Tim - in By Degrees was in foster care, but in By Degrees the foster care is part of the back story. In A Fostered Love it plays a far bigger role. And this might seem

Jon grew on me at first I didn’t like him but then I did like him then at the end I started to not like him, before liking him again… I give Jon a 3.5 star
Christian I liked at first but by the end he was a whinny bitch. Kinda dumb too so when he turned into Christina (A typo I think but it fit) he started just being plain boring Christy to me… 3 stars for Christy
Annie was always likeable and sweet and she thinks two guys kissing is hot so 5 stars for little orphantranny

I knew that this book was going to be fantastic and it did not disappoint. And also because of the little factor that it IS a Cameron Dane book. I've been staving these off like little treasures. Anyways, this book is like a vacuum packed treat of goodness.
I love Jonah and Christian and I really understood the fragility that Jonah displayed.

I had to walk away from my computer for several minutes to catch my breath, wipe the drool from my face and splash cold water on my face to keep the flush from rising up my neck again after I finished reading Cameron Dane's amazingly scorching A Fostered Love.
Summary: Christian Sanchez never thought he would see Jonah Roberts again. Foster brothers for a short time as teens, Christian developed a massive crush on Jonah, his tough, older roommate. That all ended when the cops came anMore...

Jonah and Christian were really hot together. They made a really sweet couple with a great HEA. I liked the element of suspence that David's character added to the story. Although I kinda felt like it left a loose end. It's obvious what happened to him, but I would have liked a little more of a wrap up that what we got since it because such a big part of the book. Anyway, the characters were all very likeable/loveable and the sex was reall hot.

After fifteen years, Jonah Roberts finally returns to the foster home that he lived in for a couple months. When he was sixteen, he screwed up and ended up being sent to Juvenile Detention. But no matter what, the woman who ran the foster home, never gave up on him. Now, fifteen years later, he's returned to attend her funeral. When he comes back, he finds himself falling for Christian Sanchez - the boy he used to share a room with. Jonah knows Christian used to have a crush on him when the

Just kind of bumped into this book...needed to read something light and it was good. Story was sweet the boys were hot and the sex was well...really hot.
There's a another book that follows this one and have bought to see what this lady comes up with...I recommend.
4/21/2011 Re-read this and yup it's still all kinds of HOTT!

Jonah is a lost soul and has struggled with his emotional detachment since he came out of juvenile detention. Christian is a foster brother he knew for three months when he was 16. Fifteen years pass and Jonah returns to the foster home where he knew Christian for that short time. Jonah wrestles with the feelings Christian brings out in him.

I really fell in love with this one. Jonah and Christian are so different and at the same time so easy to love. With Jonah you get that...bad boy that's shut himself off from world but has a tender heart kind of hero and Christian is just plain sweet.
Some of the sex scenes were not my taste (I'm a fan of graphically written love scenes and I don't need flowery metaphors, at the same time "quivering hole" and "anus" don't really do it for me either) but otherwise More...

Rating really 4.5 stars.
At the beginning of the book I was having a bit of a hard time connecting to Jonah and Christian. But I did understand where Jonah was coming from and since it was a challenge read I decided to keep reading. I love that Christian is stronger than you at first think and Jonah more needing and vulnerable. Others had trouble with foster "brothers" falling in love but honestly Jonah was at the home a very short time and I despite staying in touch wi More...

Jonah and Christian were both foster kids at Marisol's house. Christian had a crush on Jonah. Jonah was a "bad" kid who was arrested at 16 and never returned to the house.
Fast forward 15 years. Marisol passed away and left a request for Jonah to help Christian renovate the house and sell it.
Christian still has the hots for Jonah. Jonah is a loner who avoids relationships. Christian has an ex that wants to get back with him, but the ex is in the closet married to a woman. More...

This was one of the lighter (almost no crime/suspense, not at all angsty plot) Cameron Dane books. I would categorize it somewhere between the Cabin Fever and the Quinten, Montana books.
The main characters were OK but felt a little underdeveloped. Especially Christian. I got the usual "good guy" vibes from him but nothing much apart from that. I would have also liked to learn more about his relationship with his mother. How he managed to keep the balance, forgive her for le More...

This is a solidly written book with intense characters and some pretty hot sex scenes. That said, I struggled with this book and found my attention wandering at several points. There aren’t any huge glaring mistakes that I can point out as plot killers or even problems per se, although I’ll try to explain why I couldn’t seem to connect with the characters. For the majority of readers, you’ll really like this book. It has tight, concise writing with vivid scene detail and some interesting charact

I have always found that Cameron Dane's books have an high emotional level impact and this last one is not different. What maybe I found different was that the story is "normal", nice and sweet, without paranormal elements, and so maybe more linked to reality.
Jonah and Christian were foster kid in the same home. Not really kid truth be told, more young men, at 14 and 16 years old. Maybe since they were similar in age, or maybe since she saw ahead of them, Marisol, the woman More...

This is my 3rd Cameron Dane novel and they have all remained consistent. A good love story frequently interrupted by really bad sex. I really liked Jonah and Christian and I liked their story ok. But the only way they could communicate was by having sex! <Spoiler>Even at the end, in the middle of a very important discussion about their relationship, it turns into an ass eating scene!</spoiler>

This was my first experience with Cameron Dane and I simply loved this book for it's many poignant details. I was near tears on a couple of occasions and I was riveted by the raw intensity of need, desperation, and vulnerability that Ms. Dane was able to capture and portray in one very realistic physical scene. Additionally, I very much appreciate that the internal dialogue and expressions felt true to these male characters and I will definitely be reading more of her work in the future.

This book was like a daytime soap when I think back on it. The angst was more drama queen-ish (over-acted), with lots of fist tigntening to keep themselves under control, and the supporting characters seem as if they were thrown in for filler. To be honest, I don't even remember their names. Not my cup of tea~
