Another reviewer (on Amazon) claims that you will either love this book or hate it; there is no in-between. I'm inclined to agree with that assessment. The author borrows concepts of panspermia (life originating in outer space) from Hoyle and Wickramasinghe, which I really did not find convincing, and I've also read Hoyle's "The Intelligent Universe." However, he does make good points about the so-called 'primordial soup' that scientists speak of when discussing the origin of life.
