I really dug this romance. It had in-jokes about fandom and fanfic, it took place on the set of a crime show (it's everything I want Law & Order to be!), and it had a romance between gorgeous women. After reading a good heap of Radclyffe, it was nice to read a romance by someone new who didn't use the same tropes over and over again (Radclyffe, please stop trying to kill your characters due to some terrible disease they have that they refuse to tell anyone about!)

One of the books I've started several times - because I'd heard from different sides that they liked it - but I just wasn't interested.
So, a couple of nights ago I woke up at 3 a.m. for no apparent reason. And couldn't go back to sleep. So I grabbed this, and turns out I couldn't put it down. I'm not sure what was different this time around, but it totally drew me in.

5 STARS PLUS!! This book was damn near perfect for me! I looooooved it!!!! All the characters, the interwoven storylines, the drama, the love, the passion, the angst, the fear, the doubt, the sheer happiness - it was all so good!! I know I really like a book when I start reading it really slow, taking in all the details, because I simply don't want it to end! That's how this one was for me! One of the best books I've read and it's f/f to boot! Woohoo!!!!!! :D
I started this book a couple times, but kept pushing it aside. for some reason thinking i might not like it... perhaps the beautiful, famous actress thing didn't appeal, not sure why. but when i finally sat down and started into it, i found that my preconceived notions were dead wrong.
perhaps the plot, actresses falling in love, didn't do much for me, but let me tell you... the chemistry the author creates between these characters will make the plot a triviality. it is absolutely amazing, how, w...more

This is the best lesbian romance I have read in a long time, and I have read a lot of them. I love them and give them a lot of leeway because the subject matter is so close to my heart. This book needs no such latitude; for me, it is right up there in quality and enjoyment with any fiction book I have read, actually -- the characters are great, I loved them from the minute they were introduced; the romance was both believable and hot; the twists were unexpected but did not seem contrived at all....more
This is one of my all time favorite lesbian fiction books of all time. I have read and re-read this book dozens of times. I never get tired of it. I won't go over the plot and story line of the book because you can read the back cover for that. I will tell you why I LOVED this book.
First off, the characters don't fall madly in love in the first 24 hours. There is no ridiculous "soul mate" crap. Its a delicious journey on 2 women falling in love, their doubts, their hopes, their fears and then th...more

Love!...Love!...Loved it!!!...I figure i should be more articulate so i'll form a sentence instead...from the beginning to the ending i absolutely loved this book.. I read the book in one sitting. i started after 1AM thinking i'd read one or two chapters before i go to sleep, that was the only mistake i made with this book, starting it late in the night. i found another word...Wow! I am sorry i really cannot stress enough how much i love this book...definitely a favorite!!!!!!
Very well written and entertaining. Enjoyed it very much, and wished the author had published more stories.
As for the reason why I didnt rate it 5 stars: it read a little fanfic-y to me. Because it seemed self.indulgent and some of the situations were a bit convenient. It was a little drawn out, the first half of the book was more exciting.
That being said, I reccommend it wholeheartedly, if you enjoy some girl-on-girl fluff!!!

It's glorified fanfiction, but good glorified fanfiction. I read this a long time ago before it was published I guess, so maybe I'm biased. I enjoyed the story but with most of these kind of stories, there was a bit too much back and forth between the main characters and a lot of stuff became kind of unbelievable near the end.

Bland, blander, and blandest! We must be quite desperate indeed and not very well read either, in the Lesbian Community, to be collectively thrilled to find this book remotely interesting! How exactly does this book differ from a Harlequin Romance "novel," except for the same-sex gender pronouns?
We should all call for far higher literary standards at this juncture in time! Sorry, girls, but I'm tired of settling for Sapphic "crumbs!" I want the whole cupcake!

I really enjoyed this. I don't know, the relationship between Caidence and Robyn was just sweet (in a Hollywood sort of way). And it was reasonably plausible. Definitely one of the better lesbian romances that I've read.
This book is featured on Cocktail Hour episode 14. A very good book. Wish there was more by the author. She does have some other online stories under the name Dabkey.
