This book was GREAT!!! My first graders are currently transitioning into the "light" portion of science & this book was a great lead-in. After reading this book, my students and I went outside to trace their shadows on the concrete, then two hours later we went back to see how they had moved. The kids loved it and this book helped them to grasp the of light & shadows.
This is a really cute book and a great way to introduce light to your students. Shadows are interesting to kids and this book is a fun way to engage them.

Rabbit makes a bet he can escape his shadow. He tries and tries and tries but can't. Finally night falls and voila--his shadow is gone!
